Rachel Bilson Files Restraining Order Against 'Stalker' With History Of Violence

The O.C. actress, Rachel Bilson, has just been issued a restraining order against an alleged stalker who she says has a history of violence.

In the legal documents, obtained by The Blast, Bilson claims she has been dealing with harassing messages and multiple attempts to contact her by a man who lives in Georgia. The actress says the situation has gotten so bad, the person even drove thousands of miles to confront her at her L.A. home.

Bilson filed the restraining order in Los Angeles County courts saying the person "has shown up on multiple occasions to her home where she and her daughter reside. He has also researched and found the listed parties' phone numbers and called multiple times attempting to reach (Bilson), where he refers to her as his 'future wife.'"

She continued, "There have been many incidents, messages on social media, letters but most alarmingly, there have been multiple attempts to visit, come into my home."

In this case, Rachel says the person is delusional, saying that she is currently carrying his child. "He refers to me as 'baby' and calls me his 'future wife' and indicates that he believes I am pregnant with his child. I have never met him and have absolutely no intention of doing so."

As you know, Bilson shares an 8-year-old daughter with her ex-husband and actor Hayden Christensen.

Now, Bilson believes the man's behavior could be escalating, saying, "he has made comments that she is 'pissing him off and making him angry. He lives in Georgia and has driven across the country on multiple occasions and has shown up at Bilson's family home where she is raising her 8-year-old daughter. He continues to show up at the home and writes delusional letters, even while on bail."

The actress provided the court with several instances that prove she needs legal protection as soon as possible.

"On November 15th, 2021, he called many of my family members, left voicemails claiming to be my future husband, and introduced himself. This was very scary because he went thru the trouble to find out the names and contact information of many of my family members and actually reach out to them as well. I took this as a threat to me and to them."

Adding, "On September 17th, 2022, he drove across the country to my home, went past the gate and knocked on the door, and identified himself as "Clyde." There were guests home who observed this and told him to leave. He claimed that he had driven all the way from Georgia to see me and he was extremely upset that I won't see him. Police were called to the home, helicopters were deployed, but he was not apprehended."

At the time, One of his notes claims that he is "not going anywhere." and that he "drove 2500 miles to get a hug." Bilson says the note was left at her gate and says "When I read it sent chills of fear through me. This man will not go away. These messages show a level of delusion and persistence that is extremely scary to me. They keep coming in and it is clear that he will not let the delusion go. These messages leave me in a state of panic. I am aware that he has a history of violence, ignoring protective orders, and aggravated stalking."

Bottom line -- Bilson "is extremely concerned that she will be the victim of physical violence based on his delusional conduct and recent history of violence and mental illness."

The good news is a judge in Los Angeles issued a temporary restraining order against the man for Rachel, Hayden, and their daughter. He is ordered to stay 100 yards away from the family.

Rachel is now among countless celebrities that have faced alleged stalkers.  Just recently, Coldplay frontman, Chris Martin, and actress Dakota Johnson received a permanent restraining order against a woman who thought she and Chris were married.  Also, the KarJenners have faced their fair share of unwanted attention from people who have even claimed they have communicated with them telepathically.
