While organ donors are fairly popular, orgasm donors are a much harder find. English top model Cara Delevingne reportedly donated her orgasm to science in her upcoming BBC docuseries "Planet Sex." The actress has been involved in several ventures recently, including her recent clothing line launch with the late Karl Lagerfield's brand.

Besides her on-screen role in the series, Delevingne also holds the position of an executive producer through her production company, Milkshake Productions. She previously spoke about her new experiences while filming the show during the pandemic and how it enlightened her on several fronts.

Delevingne has donated her orgasm to science in the upcoming BBC series "Planet Sex With Cara Delevingne." According to The Post, while talking outside a hospital in Germany, the model said, "I'm here to have an orgasm and donate it to science."

She reportedly gave researchers her blood sample before and after reaching climax to inspect and document the effects on the chemistry of her body. The results will be shown on TV in the series this week.

The research center was at a hospital in Germany, and the study was geared at investigating the "gender climax gap." This is a term coined for the difference between male and female climaxes during sex and why the latter is more likely to climax than the former. Delevingne's docuseries, "Planet Sex," will go deep into how people around the globe practice sexuality.

The "Only Murders in the Building" star revealed that she thinks "female sexual desire" has been repressed over the years and that she knows so from personal experience. "I think female sexual desire has definitely been repressed," Delevingne said.

She continued per The Post, "I know from my own love life just how sexual women can be, so you'd think in the 21st century, men and women should be having equally satisfying sex lives, right? Well, prepare for a shock. When it comes to the orgasm, there is a definite gender gap."

The actress went on to say that per scientific data, around 95% of men achieve orgasm during intercourse, while only 65% of straight women climax. "To be honest, I think that sounds way too high; most of my straight female friends say it's probably more like 15 or 20 percent," Delevingne said. "Lesbians and queer women definitely seem to have it better."

While talking about "Planet Sex" at the Cannes international TV market Mipcom in October, Delevingne explained that being a part of the series "opened my eyes so much." She also stated that she was eager to start on the project, mainly due to its personal nature. "I needed this in my life, honestly," the model said via Variety.

"Maybe not to do it on camera — I mean, that was something I wanted to do for other people, but in terms of, for me, I grew up a lot," Delevingne continued. "I had chosen to take a step back from love and relationships for a while before I did this, and this made me realize again how much I needed to repair certain things in my life and move on from that. I really grew up a lot."

The "Suicide Squad" actress further revealed that although she was yet to come up with conclusions about her identity, she had accepted herself significantly more.

Fremantle UK CEO Simon Andreae initially conceived the concept of "Planet Sex" five years ago and talked about the underlying theory of the show. According to him, "in each episode, Cara would explore one of those big questions [about sexuality], ask it at the top, go on a voyage of discovery through laboratories, different cultures, different individuals, her own mind and body and come out the other end with a conclusion."

Andreae further noted that he did not want any "Hollywood fence-sitting" in a bid not to offend some people to be involved in the project. He explained that the aim was to arrive at a genuine conclusion at the end of the show, which was that, "sexual orientation is finished by the time you're born."

According to the Fremantle CEO, the BBC version of "Planet Sex" slightly varies from the show's Hulu version. He said, "There's one further layer and section of information underneath the science a little more often, but this is the BBC, and they have gone for the more — I'm not sure 'hardcore' is the right word — but a more explicit version of the show."

"Planet Sex With Cara Delevingne" will be released on UK's BBC on Thursday, Dec. 1, and via reports, it will premiere on Hulu sometime next year.
