Danica Dow Dishes On Virtual 'Vanderpump Rules' Reunion

Danica Dow opened up about the upcoming "Vanderpump Rules" reunion special while appearing on Bravo's "The Daily Dish Podcast" last week.

Weeks after filming the virtual three-part conclusion to season eight from her Los Angeles home as her co-stars did the same from their own places, the new cast member spoke to the hosts of the podcast about a moment from the taping that surprised her.

“There was something that surprised me, or I guess someone,” she teased, adding that the taping was "emotional."

While Danica couldn't say what happened between her and her co-stars during the virtual taping, she did tease a shocking betrayal between cast mates.

“I guess you could call it a little betrayal that happens that I’m absolutely not OK with," she explained. "So that’s kind of like a bomb that got dropped that is very interesting. So that’ll be exciting to see back.”

Danica went on to say that while she and her co-stars weren't in the same room, as would have been the case if it weren't for the coronavirus pandemic, there was no shortage of emotion.

“It was really emotional," Danica said of the taping, which took place in early May.

"I felt like towards the end, everyone was just feeling so many emotions where it got very sentimental rather than argumental,” she explained.

Danica went on to say that if she and her "Vanderpump Rules" cast mates had been able to film an in-person reunion, the dynamic between them, as well as the end result the group came to, may have been a whole lot different.

“We probably would have been screaming at each other, and you know, going crazy,” Danica suspected. “But since it was pretty much on Zoom, we had no choice but to sit down, take a breath, and wait for our turn to talk, which was really hard for me actually because I’m used to like, talking over everybody.”

While Danica may not have anticipated a virtual reunion when she first joined the "Vanderpump Rules" cast for season eight last summer, she wasn't completely disappointed about not getting to reunite in person.

Looking back at the taping, Danica said it was "awesome" to see how everyone was able to film from their homes.

As for Danica's future on the "Vanderpump Rules" cast, that has not yet been decided and when it comes to a start date for production, that has also not yet been confirmed.
