Gizelle Bryant & Robyn Dixon Slammed On Twitter For Colorism Moment On 'RHOP'

Last night’s episode of the Real Housewives of Potomac featured a moment that fans are describing as “colorism”. They have taken to social media to call out Bravo, Andy Cohen, and the women.
Gizelle Bryant & Robyn Dixon Acted Odd
The green-eyed bandits made no qualms about whose side they were on when the fight between Wendy Osefo and Mia Thornton went down. In case you missed it, the trailer moment of Thornton throwing water in Osefo’s face has arrived and it was just as explosive as we all thought.
The assault took place because the women threw some harsh words at one another about their jobs and husbands. The straw that broke the camel’s back for Thornton was when Osefo claimed that Thornton’s husband Gordon more fondly known as “G” was sleeping with both men and women that were not his wife.
Regardless, the fight led to sides and while most of the women were trying to check Mia for throwing the water and getting physical (she also hit Wendy with her purse), Dixon and Bryant seem to think Osefo was in the wrong for basically talking at all and treated her like a second class citizen.
Gizelle Bryant & Robyn Dixon Switch It Up
Fans are mad at how Bryant and Dixon responded only because a few seasons ago, Monique Samuels was ousted from the show for physically attacking Candiace Dillard and the GEB were advocating for never putting hands on someone and wanted her gone.
They were absolutely disgusted, but here’s Wendy getting assaulted and yelled out and Dixon pulls her camera out and films, Wendy, while yelling obscenities at her for not taking Mia's crap. Fans believed that the only reason why the GEB was acting this way is due to the dark tone of Wendy’s skin.
“#RHOP #BRAVOTV Mia, Robyn & Gizelle are VILE, COLORISTS, LIARS, MEAN, JEALOUS, VINDICTIVE & PETTY. Andy is not equipped to address the IMPORTANT & OBVIOUS COLORISM issues at the Reunion. He needs an educated/knowledgeable Black person to assist or it will be brushed over again,” wrote one fan.
“I’m sooo triggered by the blatant hypocrisy of these GEB. They were so against violence when Monique dragged Candiace but now since “light skinned”Mia is the aggressor now it’s okay. The colorism is REAL,” chimed in another.
Housewife Fans Want Action
“Robyn & Gizelle are trash. I remembered Gizelle trashed Monique for doing exactly the same thing Mia did then calls Wendy “ghetto” but they don’t have the same energy for Mia Gizelle always using words like “Aggressive” I see her spirit.”
“So disappointed in the cast of #RHOP no one tried to defuse this fight! Doesn’t matter if you like Dr.Wendy or not, Mia was definitely the aggressor. I hope Robyn and Giz can look back at this and where they were wrong.”
“& let’s talk about Real Housewives of Potomac and how the colorism is blasting throughout tvs! I hate how @BravoTV is trying to diminish @WendyOsefo character! She didn’t react how they expected and they STILL went w/ the “script””
Fans aren’t surprised that Bravo is doing this one fan remembered that Nene Leakes has been accusing Bravo of treating people of color like crap and profiting off it for years.
Wendy Osefo Isn’t Totally Wrong
Please note that as an avid Bravo housewives fan, I do recall a conversation from Thornton’s first season where she bragged about her husband liking “white women” and going on to say they are threesomes. Maybe that’s why Osefo felt so comfortable yelling that out.
So is the professor and political commentator totally wrong? No. Mia did say she and her husband like to get a little wild. She also pointed out that she met her husband working in a high-end gentlemen’s club she made a point to note that first, she wasn’t a stripper, and second the gentlemen’s club served lobster and steak so how could it be anything but high-class?
Fans are demanding that Bravo do something about all three women.
