'Power Rangers' Star Jason David Frank Dead at 49, Reports of Suicide

Original Power Rangers star Jason David Frank has reportedly died at the age of 49. Per reports, the actor is believed to have passed on after committing suicide.
David Frank is popularly known as the Green Ranger on the original run of the beloved superhero kids show, "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers."

Per TMZ, Power Rangers OG David Frank has been confirmed dead by his rep, Justin Hunt. Sources close to the actor also shared with the news outlet that he may have committed suicide.
Frank is best known for his captivating performance as the Green Ranger in the 1993 tv series, "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers," which spanned three seasons.
The actor went on to reprise his role as Tommy Oliver (the Green Ranger) in several other Power Rangers spinoff shows, such as; "Dino Thunder," "Wild Force," 'Turbo," "Megaforce," "Ninja Steel", just to name a few.
Frank's rep, Hunt shared a statement with TMZ asking for privacy. The statement reads; "Please respect the privacy of his family and friends during this horrible time as we come to terms with the loss of such a wonderful human being. He loved his family, friends and fans very much. He will truly be missed."

The actor will be remembered by fans for his amazing fighting skills on and off-set. Frank was a professionally trained MMA brawler who had a vast range of fighting skills. He was well versed in the art of Judo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Aikido, Taekwondo, Jeet Kun Do and many others.
He fought professionally between 2008 and 2010, during which period he was signed with sports marketing and management company, SuckerPunch Entertainment.

Frank is survived by his four children. His first union with his ex-wife, Shawna Frank, produced two sons and one daughter. Frank and Shawna ended up getting a divorce in 2001.
The Power Rangers star got married again in 2003 to Tammie Frank whom he shares his fourth child and daughter with. Tammie reportedly filed to divorce the actor in 2022.
