Andy Cohen is also sad to see RHONY newcomer Lizzy Savetsky exit the show in the middle of filming.
Andy Cohen Is Disappointed
The Bravo executive sat down with Hollywood Life to promote his new partnership with FRESCA Mixed. But any real Bravo fan knows that all roads lead to Bravo!! the line of questioning about quenching our thirst turned to what in the hell is going on in New York?
Cohen admitted that he was surprised when Savestky stepped down but understood why she made that decision. “I was stunned by the responses. And I always knew that social media could really be a cesspool, but it’s really brutal,” he said of the backlash and racism that the hopeful reality star received online.
Savetsky publicly quick the show and wrote a lengthy post on Instagram explaining that it had everything to do with the hate and racism she was receiving daily online.
Lizzy Savestky Experienced Anti-Semitism
“I will not be continuing on The Real Housewives of NYC. As a proud orthodox Jewish woman, I thought participating in this series would be a great chance to represent people like me and share my experience,” she wrote in her statement.
“Unfortunately, from the time of my announcement in the cast, I was on the receiving end of a torrent of antisemitic attacks. As this continued, I realized that this path was no longer right for me and my family.”
She ended her message by teasing a new chapter outside of this mess. “I’m looking forward to my next chapter. Stay tuned — and thank you for your support!”
Lizzy Savestky Is A ‘Proud, Outspoken Jew’
The mom of three has been using her social media platform to share tidbits about her religion and culture. She defines herself as someone who takes her religion seriously. She had a Yiddish word of the work on IG with her kids and she makes videos all the time about her religious ceremonies.

Lizziy spoke out against Kanye West and Adidas when the rapper was making anti-semetic remarks this could have been what put her on the radar of so much hate. Cohen agrees that it isn’t necessary at all, but realizes the time we are in is accommodating such behaviors.
“This this is a rough time we’re living in and this is a serious thing and so I wish her well,” he insist before returning back to chanting about Fresca.

The Rest Of The ‘RHONY’ Cast Is Still Here
The other women will pick up the slack for Lizzy’s absence. The self-proclaimed “Proud Jew & Zionist” is leaving us with, Sai De Silva, Ubah Hassan, Erin Dana Lichy, Jenna Lyons, Jessel Taank, and Brynn Whitfield.
Who knows maybe there is still time to replace her, or they can add a friend of the show to round it out, if need be! Glad to see Andy speaking up at the appropriate moment.
