Recording artist, Blueface's recent Las Vegas shooting and subsequent arrest was reportedly due to an unappreciated joke at the rapper's expense. The American rapper, born Johnathan Porter, has been involved in several scuffles with the law over the years and has been taken into police custody many times.
Besides his issues with the law, Blueface has been in a dysfunctional relationship with his longtime girlfriend and fellow artist, Chrisean Rock. The duo has been caught on video exchanging blows several times, and in August, Rock was arrested. After a fight in Arizona, she was put in custody for misdemeanor charges of criminal trespass and disorderly conduct.
Earlier this week, the LVMPD arrested Blueface for firing at the vehicle of an unidentified person. The rapper and his crew were outside a Las Vegas strip club at the time of the incident and, according to recent news, fired at the man after he made a bad joke.

Blueface Shot At Man After Bad Joke
TMZ recently reported that Blueface's altercation outside a Las Vegas strip club resulted from a bad joke. On October 8, the rapper was caught on camera firing at a vehicle and injuring its driver outside the Euphoric Gentlemen's Club in Las Vegas.
The alleged victim reportedly joked about Blueface, saying he was talking to "some females in a cheap vehicle." The comment apparently enraged the rapper and his crew, who went on to get physical with the truck driver and hit him "multiple times."
The police revealed that the alleged victim was able to get away and attempted to drive off in his truck; however, the rapper's crew might have suspected that he was "going for a gun." This resulted in Blueface firing rounds at the departing car and putting several bullet holes in the truck and a "bullet graze wound" on the driver.
Blueface Was Arrested And Charged With Attempted Murder
Weeks after his October shooting, Blueface was arrested in public with his girlfriend, Rock. A clip of the incident produced by TMZ showed the rapper in public and seemingly unaware of the potential arrest. He was apprehended by LVMPD officers, who pinned him to the wall before putting him in handcuffs.
The rapper was then led to the police vehicle by the officers. According to the news outlet, around six to eight officers carried out the arrest. When asked the reason he was being apprehended, the officers revealed that they were only executing an open warrant out for Blueface.
The incident occurred around Hughes Center Drive outside Lo-Lo's Chicken and Waffles. The officers were reportedly undercover for the operation and in unmarked cars.
Blueface's Bail Was Set At $50,000
After the arrest, the LVMPD took to Twitter and released a statement concerning the incident and the reason behind it. "On November 15, 2022, at approximately 2:40 p.m, LVMPD detectives arrested 25-year-old Johnathan Porter on charges stemming from a shooting that took place on October 8, 2022, in the 6000 block of Windy Road," they wrote.

A Clark County Court representative reported that the judge had set the bail for the rapper at $50,000. Blueface is scheduled to appear in court for the case on January 24. Via the LVMPD's post, the rapper was charged with a range of serious offenses after the Clark County Detention Center booked him.
These include charges of "attempted murder, use of a deadly weapon, and discharging a gun into an/into occupied structure." Blueface was also charged with operating an unregistered vehicle. The police post attached a booking photo of Blueface to the statement, which showed the artist in the customary orange prison attire.

Blueface's longtime girlfriend, Rock, was present during the rapper's arrest and recently released a video promising to stand by him. The artist took to her Instagram stories to reveal that she would be with him during the Wednesday court appearance and claimed he would be released shortly.
This incident is not the first time Blueface has gotten into legal trouble. In February, the rapper was arrested for gun possession during a routine traffic stop in Hollywood. The firearm was discovered after he was found to be with expired license plates.
The police officers then searched his vehicle with Blueface's consent and discovered a gun in the car's center console. In 2019, he got in trouble with the law for a similar firearm-related incident. The rapper was accused of carrying an unlicensed firearm, but the charge was dropped in October 2019.
