Randall Emmett Believes His Ex-Wife And Lala Kent Are Plotting To 'Destroy' His Image

Film producer, Randall Emmett, just accused Lala Kent and Ambyr Childers, his ex-wife, of conniving to launch a smear campaign against him. The producer and Childers got married in 2009; however, they separated in 2017 after Emmett was accused of cheating on the actress. They had two daughters together, London and Rylee.

Emmett and his ex-fiancée Kent in 2015 while he was filming season four of "Vanderpump Rules." They made their relationship public in December 2017 after the producer finalized his divorce from Childers. Emmett and Kent got engaged in under a year.

Via documents obtained by Page Six, Emmett alleged that Kent and Childers are "working together" to pull him down. "I believe that Ambyr and Lauren are working together in [an] attempt to destroy my reputation to give them both an advantage for custody," the Bravo producer claimed.

Emmett went on to deny his ex-wife's claims that he was emotionally and verbally abusive to her while they were married. "Ambyr has completely fabricated abuse that never happened, and I believe that Lauren has convinced her to do so."

He claimed that Childers had never made any domestic violence-related allegations during their eight-year marriage and after its conclusion. "Ambyr has never made any allegations of domestic violence against me during our marriage, nor has she ever made allegations of domestic violence against me since we separated," he said.

Further on in the filing, Emmett claimed that his ex-wife could not recall the actual abusive incidents because none had ever occurred. "Ambyr states she cannot remember specific incidents of abuse. She cannot remember specific incidents because there are none," the reality star claimed per Page Six.

Emmett also stated that at no point had he placed his children with Childers in an unsafe or unsavory situation. The producer claimed Kent and Childers' relationship had brought the two women together to create an elaborate plan to drag him down. The end goal, according to Emmett, was for them to win their respective custody battles against him.

"Ambyr's claims now stem from her friendship with my former fiancée, Lauren Burningham, the mother of my youngest daughter, Ocean," the producer said. "Lauren and I are in the middle of a very contentious custody litigation, in which Lauren has made false allegations of abuse, though she has never filed a DVRO Request against me because she knows she is not a victim of abuse."

Emmett also alleged that "if anyone is a victim of abuse in this relationship, it is me."

In October, Childers filed a restraining order against her ex-husband, Emmett. The actress claimed he accidentally forwarded an email that showed the producer's attorney Ben Valencia threatening her life. She said the correspondence between the two left her feeling "legitimate fear for [her] safety and well-being."

Childers claimed that the email held a note of "finality and desperation," both of which frightened her. "If not the infliction of physical harm on me, would the money be to set me up?" she said via the Los Angeles Times. She also alleged that she had suffered emotional and verbal abuse in her marriage to him, and Emmett would sometimes "put his hand around [her] neck and tell [her] that [she] could never get away from him."

The restraining order was filed in the Los Angeles Superior Court; however, the judge denied Childers' request. There was reportedly no proof to back up her words, but a hearing to review the case was moved to another date.

Via Page Six, Emmett was pleased by the court's ruling and claimed there was no merit to his ex-wife's accusations. "Randall is very pleased that the court recognized there was no merit to these claims and denied the request," the producer's rep said.

Emmett is also facing legal troubles with his ex-fiancée Kent. The duo got engaged less than a year after coming out with their relationship and welcomed a daughter in March 2021. They, however, parted ways in November last year after reports of Emmett's infidelity and alleged physical abuse.

Kent claimed that after she confronted him about his alleged philandering, the "Irishman" producer tackled and pushed her to the ground. In response, Emmett declared his innocence and said Kent was attempting to "sway their custody dispute" by carrying out a smear campaign against him.

The producer's rep said per Page Six, "Lala Kent has lied and manipulated others in her desperate attempt to win full custody of her daughter, keep her name in the press, and remain relevant in reality television."
