Sources Say Jill Duggar Wants Husband Derick Dillard to Keep Quiet

While Jill and Derick Dillard may no longer appear on "Counting On," they are certainly still a significant part of the Duggar universe. Considering that Derick is constantly in the news talking about his in-laws, the stories don't seem to be going away any time soon.

There is one family member who may want Derick to stop talking as much as Jim Bob Duggar does: Derick's wife, Jill. Now, sources say that Jill may not be as happy with Derick speaking out as many people thought.

People who keep up with the family already know that Derick does not look at his former prayer partner favorably these days. Derick claims that Jim Bob controlled the relationship between Jill and TLC, which has produced Duggar content for well over a decade. He has even claimed that they were not paid for their participation in filming. In one Tweet, Derick said that filming "took [them] to the brink of sanity and could have easily destroyed [their] lives."

Derick has also called his wife a victim of abuse who was forced to film in spite of her wishes not to. In one special, Jill was required to speak about abuse she experienced at the hands of her brother.

In the last few years, Derick has become vocal with his criticisms. Some sources now say that Jill may be unhappy with this. This week, "In Touch Weekly" reported that a source close to Jill wishes that Derick "stayed quiet."

Jill has not made public statements about her parents, and seems as if she wants to stay out of the feud. The source also reports that Jill still gets along with both Jim Bob and Michelle. They seemingly still love their daughter and support Jill's choices.

It is clear that Jill is staying in touch with the rest of her family, even during social distancing. Michelle Duggar brought her youngest daughters to Jill's home so they could visit through the window for Jill's son's birthday.

At the same time, Derick has still been speaking out about the family. In the meantime, Derick is allegedly writing a book about the couple's experience with TLC and Jill's upbringing. He is also attending law school and has alluded to suing TLC in the past.

Jill has seemingly spent time with her family in the last few months, but she has not been publicly seen with Jim Bob. According to Derick, he and Jill have been banned from the family home when Jim Bob and Michelle are not around. This can certainly complicate a relationship.

Fuel was added to the fire when Jill did not post a Mother's Day tribute to her mom on social media. Last year, Jill posted a tribute to her mother, calling her a "role model."
