Ben Stiller sent a gut punch to Hollywood on Monday morning when he announced that his father Jerry Stiller had passed away at the age of 92. Jerry was an iconic TV actor best known for his role as George Costanza's father on "Seinfeld" and as Arthur Spooner alongside Leah Remini and Kevin James on the long-running sitcom "King of Queens."
After his death, Remini was one of the first stars to write a tear-jerking tribute to Jerry and also share some silver lining she is finding in the wake of the terrible loss.
Ben Stiller was extremely close to his father, and the two were even lucky enough to appear together in comedy films like "Zoolander," "Heavyweights" and "The Heartbreak Kid."
He made the announcement Monday morning that Jerry had passed of natural causes:
"I’m sad to say that my father, Jerry Stiller, passed away from natural causes. He was a great dad and grandfather, and the most dedicated husband to Anne for about 62 years. He will be greatly missed. Love you Dad," Ben wrote via Twitter.

Leah Remini worked alongside Jerry Stiller on over 200 episodes of "King of Queens," between 1998 - 2007. She was one of the first co-stars to post a eulogy about his passing.
"I was lucky enough to work with Jerry Stiller, playing his daughter for 9 years on The King Of Queens, but even luckier to know him, the man, the husband, the father, the grandfather," Remini wrote.
She also explained how she's finding a positive in the negative of Jerry's death:
"I am only comforted knowing that Anne & Jerry, the great comedy duo of Stiller & Meara are back together. I will be forever grateful for the memories, the fatherly talks off screen and for the many years of laughter, the kindness he had shown to me and my family...You will be so very missed Jerry.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you Amy & Ben."

Jason Alexander also posted an emotional message about Jerry Stiller's passing. The two became an iconic TV duo on "Seinfeld," where Jerry played George Costanza's father, Frank. Jerry first appeared on "Seinfeld" in Season 5, but quickly became a fan-favorite for his loud rants and hilarious demeanor.
"Such sad news that my beloved friend, Jerry Stiller, has passed. He was perhaps the kindest man I ever had the honor to work beside, Alexander wrote Monday morning.
He continued, "He made me laugh when I was a child and every day I was with him. A great actor, a great man, a lovely friend. #RIPJerryStiller I Love you."
