Offset Is Upset With Takeoff
The rapper opened his message by expressing how upset he is at Takeoff for leaving this earth. “Dear Take, The pain you have left me with is unbearable,” he writes. “My heart is shattered, and I have so many things to say, but I can’t find the words. I’ve been going to sleep and waking up hoping that all of this is a dream, but it’s reality, and reality feels like a nightmare.”
The “Versace” rapper went on to share some memories of his cousin. “Every time you would see me, you didnt give me a dap you gave me a hug. I wish I could hug you one last time. Laugh one last time. Smoke one one last time. Perform one last time.”
Offset’s Message To Takeoff Is Emotional
The message shows a side of Offset that fans do not normally get to see. The rapper expressed his happiness knowing that for sure someone good, someone he can always count on is in heaven looking down on him.
“I know someone with a soul like yours is in heaven now. I hope you can see how much we love you and miss you. You have left a hole in my heart that will never be filled,” he continues.
“Give me strength, give your brothers strength, give your family strength. Even though I know you will always be with us, throw me a lil sign or a beautiful dream. I love you forever, 4L and after,” he says before signing off with a rocket emoji and often used to symbolize Takeoff’s name and a red heart emoji.
Offset & Cardi B Were Criticized By Fans
The rapper and his wife Cardi B have been taking a lot of heat online for their lack of presence on social media after Takeoff was murdered. Fans expected them to come forward and express grief publicly. They expected social media posts and maybe an IG Live of the two bawling their eyes out.
When it didn’t happen, they were attacked online and treated like jerks plus, fans insinuated that Offset and Takeoff were in a bad place when he passed and the rapper just didn’t care. Which we know now was never the case.
Offset’s message comes several days after Cardi B shared her own message her cousin-in-law. “I am heartbroken, but I am grateful for all the precious memories we got to share while you were here with us. This has truly been a nightmare and the pain is incomparable,” she wrote in an Instagram post just after Takeoff’s funeral service.
Offset Is Covered In Support
The rapper’s comments on Instagram are filling up quickly with celebrity support from those who also miss the young rapper who was only 28 when he was tragically murdered. Tyrese wrote a long comment expressing his sorrow.
“Breaks my heart I know this feeling all too well…. King I’m praying for you… Prayers may not seem like enough just know that with all of my sudden losses I have experienced over the years my therapist blessed me by saying all we have is to stay committed to doing the best we can with every 24 hours we get……. I’m here King I’m sure you are covered but if you ever just need to speak and chop it up on any level I’m here for you…. Love you King! So so sorry this happened God bless you……. RIP God gained an angel and the pain feels heavy cause clearly he’s gone too soon!”
Fellow musicians like Wale, Popcaan, Busta Rhymes, and Lukas Sabbat all shared emojis expressing their support and love for Offset.
