Michelle recently sat down with "Good Morning America" in her first television interview ahead of the November 15 release of her new book, "The Light We Carry: Overcoming in Uncertain Times."

After noting that she and Barack were now "empty nesters," the mother-of-two stated that she thought it was "wonderful" that her daughters had reached this stage. The stage in question would be Malia and Sasha's abilities to look for their partners and explore different relationships. In her words:

"I think it's wonderful. I want them to know what they want and who they are in a relationship. And that takes trying on some people."

As for her man, Michelle confirmed that he was "good with it" too, claiming, "Look, they are 24 and 21. They were in high school. They went to prom. They've lived life. And he's learned how to be a concerned Black father, but not crazy." The 58-year-old also referred to her children as her "grown women." She said:

"They're doing great. Proud of them. They survived eight years growing up in one of the harshest spotlights there is. And they are good, decent, normal young women who are trying to be impactful in the world, and they are the best of friends. Couldn't ask for anything else."

The doting mom previously referred to her 24-year-old and her younger 21-year-old as "amazing young women" during an appearance on Ellen DeGeneres' show in April. That age seemed far from the one they were when they first appeared on the show before their dad became POTUS, per The Blast.

The girls, who were ten and eight then, were there to see The Jonas Brothers, whom they loved dearly. Michelle further disclosed that the young ladies were past the "pop band" stage as they were now bringing grown men home. According to her:

"Now they have boyfriends and real lives and all that stuff, but they have grown up right before our very eyes, and they are doing well."

The attorney was happy that Sasha and Malia had used the training she and Barack had instilled in them. In other words, Michelle was elated that her teachings helped her children adjust to the real world after leaving the White House in 2017.

The Obama Girls Are Living Their Best Love Lives

In April, The Blast shed light on Sasha's thriving relationship with the son of "Ray" actor Clifton Powell. The young man was seen out and about with his girlfriend wearing a white t-shirt, casual bottoms, white sneakers, and a face cap.

Sasha was also casually dressed in the purple skirt that accompanied the darker purple tank top that exposed her toned midriff. Their public sighting led to several questions from Obama fans about Clinton Jr., and what he does.

As it turned out, the 24-year-old was a star basketball player during his college days, currently serving as the commercial director at Nike and Peloton. The son of the "Friday After Next" actor is nicknamed 'Cliff' and 'CP3.'

He enjoyed a white-collar upbringing, securing an education at Village Christian High School. Cliff and Sasha met when the latter moved to Los Angeles in August 2021, following her switch from the University of Michigan to the University of Southern California.

As for her big sister, Malia is relishing her love life with Dawit Eklund, who is nine years her senior. According to another The Blast report, Eklund and the first daughter made three public appearances in nine days in August.

One such outing involved a trip to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. While the Ethiopian music producer donned a nude-colored shirt and a pair of graphic Bob Marley green shorts, his 24-year-old wore a white crop top exposing her toned abs over baggy green bottoms.
