Hollywood star Tamera Mowry revealed the secret behind her over-a-decade-long marriage with Adam Housley. The actress and Housley initially met each other in 2005 as students at Pepperdine University during a meeting set up by their economics professor.
They went on to date on and off for six years and, in 2011, tied the knot. Mowry and Housely have two children, nine-year-old Aden and seven-year-old Ariah. Over the past few years, the “Tia and Tamera” star has been candid about her sex life with Housley, including when she revealed that they had filmed a sex tape.

Tamera Mowry Says ‘Sex Goals’ Are The Secret To Her Happy Marriage

Mowry joined the Thursday episode of “The Jennifer Hudson Show” to promote her recently released memoir, “You Should Sit Down For This.” During the interview, the actress talked about some bedroom aspects of her marriage to Housley and how she managed to stay married to the journalist for so long.
“The reason why I wanted to talk about it is I’ve been married for over a decade,” the “Sister, Sister” alum said per Us Weekly. “For me, staying happily married is having sex goals, and I don’t think there is anything wrong with women being vocal about it.”
Mowry revealed that her husband, Housley, had not read the part of her memoir, which talked about sex goals because he thought it was embarrassing. She continued, “He said it’s because it’s embarrassing, but he knows about some of the sex goals, hello!”
Tamera Mowry And Adam Housley Filmed A Sex Tape
During an episode of “The Real” in 2016, Mowry told her co-hosts that she had filmed a sex tape with her husband, Housley, and even named it. The actress broke the news while the hosts talked about adult films and revealed that she preferred making them to watching them.
She said, “Honestly, you guys, I don’t enjoy that. I’d rather make my own and have my husband watch me … In the comfort of my own home, you guys!” The actress further revealed that they had filmed one together; however, she didn’t like watching it.
When Mowry’s co-hosts at the time, Jeannie Mai and Tamar Braxton, asked for more details, including what the clip was called, the actress was hesitant to say. After some pressure, she finally said, “I don’t think you’re ready for it. You guys are going to get me in trouble! I am in so much trouble, but it would be called Sweet and Juicy.”
Tamera Mowry Was A Virgin Till 29

Mowry had spoken about her sex life with Housley over the years. In an August interview on the “In Her Shoes” podcast, the actress revealed that because she grew up in a religious home, there was a stereotype that seemed to gloss over sexual conversations.
“I think there is this, I don’t know, stereotype because I grew up very spiritual, religious, Christian, that you can’t love sex,” Mowry said per Us Weekly. “And I talk about the importance of it within marriage [on The Real and in my book].”
In a 2013 interview with Hot 97’s radio station, the actress revealed that she waited till she turned 29 to have sex and had only ever slept with her husband, Housley. According to US Weekly, she said, “I don’t know how to explain this. I’m religious, so I waited until I was 29 to lose my virginity.”
Mowry explained that she lost her virginity to her husband when they were dating and immediately regretted it. She was reportedly celibate until they tied the knot three years later. “You may not understand this [but] I did it, then I felt guilty, then I became celibate until I got married,” she shared.
The Quarantine Tested The Happy Couple’s Marriage

In a late 2020 interview with US Weekly, Mowry talked about the pandemic and how it strained her relationship with her husband. She revealed that their respective lines of work had a hand in it, and they had to spend considerable time apart. “[Quarantine] definitely has tested our relationship,” Mowry said.
She continued, “I mean, kudos to couples where it hasn’t, but I think both of us are somewhat workaholics. I would travel back and forth working on a talk show. He was a news reporter. So being, I don’t want to say stuck together, but together all the time, it’s not like you’re relearning each other over again, but this is the biggie.”
The actress further explained that during the pandemic, they were stressed and made to have patience with each other regardless. “Food and wine always help [too]!”
