Although Halloween was not so memorable for Meghan King, however, the proud mother-of-three is already turning their sights to Christmas — the season of matching outfits and pajama photoshoots. The 38-year-old recently recalled memories from celebrations with her family when she was younger.
Meghan King Takes A Walk Down Memory Lane Ahead Of Christmas
The star took to her Instagram page to post a fun throwback picture with her kids all dressed in the seasons' colors, red and white complete with a Santa Claus hat on her daughter's head. Posing with her three kids, Aspen, Hayes, and Hart, she reminisced, writing:
"I've always been into matching family outfits. Even as a little girl, my older cousin Celia and I would go to the fabric store and pick out the chicest 90's fabric (the littler and more spread out the floral pattern, the better), and my Aunt Cindy would cut the patterns and sew our matching outfits for the family Christmas party."
The TV star added that she would strut around the room with a Shirley Temple drink in her hands while trying hard not to slip out of her "half-size-too-big kitten heels" because of the slippery tights her mum made her wear. She noted that history was repeating itself as she watched her little girl get excited to match with her down to "lip gloss in the purse."
King closed the caption by throwing a question to her followers, "What is it about matching outfits that make an event come together? Do you have family traditions you've continued through the generations?"
Judging by the picture, the mother-of-three seems overjoyed and would probably be having her kids for Christmas. However, that wasn't the case for Halloween, which The Blast noted that "The Real Housewives Of Orange County" alum spoke about their absence and why she did not feel too bad about it in an Instagram video posted to her page.
"I wanted to talk about what it is like to not have my kids on Halloween," the video began as she continued to explain that after being sad at first, she was treated to a massage courtesy of her friend, and she began to feel a lot better. Since she could not see her kids, she asked her friends to send pictures of their little ones to feel better, during which things got a lot clearer.
The 38-year-old explained, "My friend Kourtney texted me, and she said it was just a terrible holiday; the kids were so upset and had meltdowns," suddenly she remembered that "Kids suck at holidays."
Recalling her own experience before they left for their dad's, she said, "I couldn't even do all the activities with my kids in one weekend because they were losing their minds," the podcaster recounted. "They were tired and overstimulated and exhausted from their adrenaline rushing."
She then affirmed that she was not mad about not having them with her as she made a point to emphasize, "I think we as moms, especially single moms, build up in our minds so much that we're missing out on this tradition, this experience."
The podcaster added that instead of dwelling on not being with them, new traditions could be made, and "at the end of the day, like, holidays are a lot and to have that taken off our shoulders is just kind of relaxing. Really, it's kind of all about the picture until the kids are old enough. It's not so bad after all."

The Blast reported that the blonde beauty got to have a sweet bonding moment with her little tots after missing them during Halloween but had a little setback health-wise. In the four pictures posted to her Instagram, the entrepreneur lay in bed with two of her babies, making funny faces at the camera, dressed in comfy clothes.
For why they were in bed, the "Resale Royalty" guest star explained that she had a stomach ache, adding, "Not a surprise when my slumber was crashed by my little girl complaining of an upset tummy at 1:45 am 🤦🏼♀️. But we all woke up healthy! Frozen the musical, here we come."
