Matthew McConaughey's Wife Shares Update On Her Recovery After Nasty Fall Down Stairs

Supermodel, Camila Alves, has confirmed that she is Ok.

The mother of three and wife of acclaimed actor Matthew McConaughey injured her neck after falling down a flight of stairs. Taking to Instagram, she told her fans that accidents were unavoidable before confirming that she was on the mend.

In her post, she also advised her fans to be more careful while going down the stairs with long dresses and loose pants. In the comment section, fans of the star wished for her speedy recovery from the injury.

In a post on her Instagram page, Alves updated fans about her health status in the wake of suffering a nasty fall while going down a flight of stairs. She shared that she was getting much better while adding a bit of humor as she cautioned them to be careful when using the stairs.

She said, "Sh** Happens. I am ok but… Don't fall people… don't fall……Ladies hold your long dresses up or lose pants up when going by down the stairs!! wind blew mine as I was midair, pant fabric wrapped around my shoe, and down the floor I went…A silly fall, turned into not so silly neck situation, recovery time ahead…"

Alves uploaded the post alongside a picture of herself wearing a neck brace, shot in her car. While it was clear that she was still in a bit of pain from the accident, the 40-year-old Brazilian model still served fans with her stunning good looks, donning a cute blouse and a patterned scarf.

The post's comment section was filled with encouraging messages from her fans who wished well and shared stories about similar scenarios.

A follower commented, "Oh my goodness!!! I'm so sorry to see this. Take care of yourself.. speedy recovery."

One fan said, "I almost fell this way a few days ago! My yoga pants wrapped around my flip flop while I was holding a suitcase. So glad you're ok! Thankful. Grateful."

Another fan penned, "Take care Camila, as women, we are always rushing from one thing to the next. I have had two falls because of this, slippery boots on icey [sic] stairs and walking down a step in the dark and completely missing the last step."

One follower wrote, "All the best healing blessings sent straight to YOU!" while another mentioned, "Been there - no fun! Take care and rest!"

Earlier in the year, Alves and her husband celebrated the tenth anniversary of their foundation, helping kids across the world get much-needed heart transplants. Dubbed the Mack, Jack & McConaughey foundation, the foundation also assists kids with after-school programs and other educational activities.

"10 YEARS!" Alves, 40, wrote on Instagram, on May 2, alongside uploading a cute picture of herself and McConaughey taken at the annual fundraising event for the foundation.

She added. "We celebrated this past weekend with @mackjackmcconaughey empowering kids from heart transplants to after-school programs AND many things in between, all for kids!"

In the post, Alves took the opportunity to thank all the donors who have contributed to the foundation, including fellow celebrities and other industry giants. She also shared that they have been able to impact 250,000 children through the funds they have raised over the years.

Alves And McConaughey started a relationship after meeting in 2006 at a bar in Los Angeles. Per Daily Mail, the actor described the meeting in his 2017 interview with Howard Stern, saying he spoke "25 minutes of the best Spanish" he had ever uttered.

The actor then told Stern that he was able to gain Alves' attention that night due to his dedication. The "Gentlemen" star recalled, "I was focused. It worked."

After dating for a while, the pair got married in 2012. The couple now has three kids, Levi, 13; Vida, 11; and Livingston, 9.

Years since they first met, the "Wolf of Wall Street" star is still head over heels in love with his wife.

"I have been very faithful with my wife, very selfishly," he said in a Playboy interview (per People.) "I like being under her spell. I don't want to break that spell."
