Melanie Martin is grieving the loss of her fiancé Aaron Carter, and his fans are only making things worse. Carter's fans have been harassing Martin since his death, with many accusing her of planning his death or being suspicious after the news was confirmed. A recent TMZ report included information from sources close to Martin, who shared that ever since Carter's death, Martin has suffered from intense hate online. Carter's fans have trolled her heavily online, posting messages wishing her a painful death or accusing Martin of planning the death.
One viral tweet criticizing Martin read, "I'm calling it, Melanie murdered Aaron. She texted him days ago saying "you're going to die" and days ago Aaron called her Voldemort. Today Melanie posts on social media a vid of her crying while driving! Who does that??? Suspicious!"
Martin has also been physically harassed by several fans. The sources shared that several people had shown up at Carter's home, where he was found dead. They stated that the people come to the home and peer into windows and vehicles, which scared and worried Martin.
She Recently Moved Out Of Aaron Carter's Home
Earlier this week, Martin requested police presence outside Carter's home as she moved some of her belongings out of the house. Sources revealed to TMZ that Martin wanted the police to keep the peace and ensure there'd be no problems with Carter's fans harassing her.
Martin, who wore a tye-dye hoodie, was seen retrieving baby items and clothes for her son with Carter, Prince. She also retrieved some personal items, and a friend helped her load the boxes into the moving van. Now, several of Carter's fans have accused her of stealing the late singer's possessions.
Aaron Carter Passed Away At 34
Martin's move out of their home comes shortly after Carter's recent death at age 34. According to TMZ's initial news report, Carter's body was found in the bathtub, and responding officers discovered multiple cans of compressed air in the bathroom and bedroom and several prescription pill bottles.
Police sources for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department told People they'd discovered a body just before 11 a.m. but had yet to officially identify the person. They later confirmed Carter's death, saying a house sitter found his body. The cause of death is yet to be determined, and the police reportedly believe the singer first lost consciousness and then drowned.
Melanie Martin Released A Statement On The Singer's Death
In a recent statement to People, Martin spoke about her feelings since Carter's death was confirmed. She said, "My heart is completely broken over the passing of my fiancé Aaron. I knew he was struggling, and I tried everything to help him. He has a very independent and strong personality, and I couldn't help him in the way I felt he needed it."
Martin also expressed that she wished she had more support and people to help Carter but now has to be strong to raise Prince "as a single mother." Martin also said his death was "the worst day of my life." She'd earlier posted an emotional TikTok, talking about her feelings on his death.
In the short video, Martin showed herself crying in a moving car, which provoked both sympathy and heavy criticism from viewers. She also shared an old recording of a TikTok Live, which showed Carter dancing and laughing for his followers. She captioned it, "Forever posting."
