Weeks after she confirmed her positive COVID-19 test, Aydin opens up about the impact the virus had on her family.

According to Aydin, who has been starring on The Real Housewives of New Jersey since season nine in 2018, her dad contracted the illness after the two of them were quarantined together.

“My dad was staying with me…I like having my dad with me. It just makes everything better,” she said, explaining why her dad was at her home amid the coronavirus outbreak.

After it was confirmed that Aydin had been diagnosed with the virus, she was forced to relocate her father to her sister's home.

“[He had] no fever. My father’s symptoms were actually profuse vomiting,” Aydin explained.

While Aydin wasn't initially planning to take her dad to the hospital, she decided to do so after he began complaining of chest pain. Luckily, he's seen been discharged and is back at home with Aydin and her family.

As for Aydin's daughter, the reality stars said her only symptoms were a lack of taste and smell.

“[And] the [other] kids are all fine," she continued of her other four children, Justin, 15, Jacob, 11, Christian, 8, and Olivia, 7.

While Aydin was quite ill during her bout with COVID-19, she told Hollywood Life she typically “never” gets sick.

“I haven’t had a fever in 20 years," Aydin said.

Aydin then recalled her sickness.

“It was a lot of sweating and chills and just really unexplainable sweating and chills and again the headache. I had to have a night mask on and I had to sink in my headache into a very cushiony pillow because the more cushions I had, the better,” she shared.

During the reunion special for season 10 months ago, Aydin was caught in the midst of drama after she accused her co-star, Melissa Gorga, of being too "self-absorbed" to have another child. She also butted heads with Jacqueline Goldschneider over comments made regarding a birthday party she had for her kids.

The 11th season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey began production in March but was quickly put on hiatus due to the spread of COVID-19 just a short time later.
