Katy Perry Followers Are Confused By Her CMA Appearance, Accuse Her Of 'Switching Sides'

Katy Perryis a stunner and she proved that at the County Music Awards this week in her all-denim outfit. Unfortunately, fans were more interested in why she was even there to begin with.

The singer walked the red carpet of the event and surprised everyone with her appearance because she is not a country music singer; that is a fact. That being said, it has never been a requirement for the CMAs to be country artists to attend.

Regardless, she showed up in an all-denim outfit with a bodice top that revealed a lot of cleavage and threatened to fall off at any moment. We can only assume that double-sided tape is working overtime here!

The bottom of the outfit features an obnoxiously big bow and sits tight on her hips and flows out at the bottom. It looked great on, and all the accents like the off-the-shoulder cuffs were perfect. but followers refused to be blinded by the unconventional pants suit and took to the comments to ask hard-hitting questions, or trash the life out of her.

The “Dark Horse” singer’s comments on all the platforms she shared photos of the night on blew up with questions regarding what “side” she was on. “Was a fan, but so disappointed in your choice of candidates!”

Another follower kept that same energy with an inquisitive comment. “Not Katy in her Republican era? witness 2.0 is coming we won.”

Some followers were not only disgusted with her show of support at the CMAs but also her choice of outfit. “Did republican Rick Caruso help pick out this trashy outfit?”

Fans called out the singer for her alleged change of heart for the LGBTQ community; “Remember when you were a so-called ally?!”

Many others seem to assume that Perry attending the CMA is her aligning herself with republicans and everything red! The singer was actually there to perform a song she has with Thomas Rhett titled “Where We Started”.

Even though most of her fans probably know that she has a song with a country artist, that’s what fans do, they are in the know. they just couldn’t stand seeing the “I kissed A Girl” singer on a red carpet of an allegedly predominantly Republican event. “How u finna make a whole vid abt loving gay ppl, then vote republican,” asked one fan.

“How dare you vote for someone who violates the human rights of your fans?” insinuated one fan who believes Perry voted Republican in the recent election. “GIRLY POP WHAT HAPPENED TO KISSING A GIRL AND LIKING IT?!” freaked out a fan on TikTok.

“Another one lost to money. ? lost respect for you today.”

While the comments were blowing up with hate, the rest of Perry’s photos revealed the amazing time she had at the awards show. She posted a cute candid selfie with Wynonna Judd who was there to honor her mom Naomi Judd who passed away over a year ago.

She posted a full-length look. Of her denim on demin look and then a group shot of the team that got her snatched for the night. Perry looked amazing and her performance that night was powerful according to fans who are just here for the music!

Over on TikTok, she posted a video of herself walking the red carpet and posing for photos; she fixes her hair and switches positions effortlessly. Perry is an old pro at this point this could be why she seems so unbothered by the hate in her comments.
