It’s official, the Kardashians are on their last leg according to some of their fans. Which let’s be honest, they should be the ones who says who and when they peak because their entire business is built on their likeness. Many people forget that the general public started the media hype behind the Kardashian/Jenner clan, and they can easily take it away. There has always been talk of the women not deserving their fame or being famous for absolutely no reason whatsoever.

Now, the conversation seems to be getting a little more serious. COVID-19 has opened people’s eyes to what is important (well, some people) and what used to matter, doesn’t necessarily matter anymore and apparently that includes the Kardashians. Fans on “Reddit” recently got into a serious discussion about the women and their level of fame. One fan laid out when the family peaked and why she believes that they will never be at the level of self-proclaimed royalty in their lives again.

“2015-2017 was the peak. Like I remember they were absolutely massive when they went to Kanye’s TLOP listening party at Madison Square Garden with the fur. They were like family royalty.” More fans jumped on the bandwagon as they too pointed out highlights for the Kardashians in 2017. It was a year that carried a few milestones for them. It was the tenth anniversary of the show, Kim Kardashian finally opened up about that chilling robbery in Paris, Kylie Jenner confirmed her relationship with Travis Scott, and both Kim and Khloe Kardashian announced pregnancies. Truly they had a phenomenal year and that wasn’t even all of it.

Of course, a statement like this doesn’t come without a few naysayers. Some people believe that the Kardashians and still extremely relevant and show no signs of slowing down. “They aggressively market themselves and keep going, they can easily pay media outlets to put stories out about them more than ever now. I don’t think they’ll wane unless they want to…” said one Reddit follower. Another follower reminded fans that the show and the girls and even sometimes Scott Disick “trend” for the smallest things; there is no way they could be going anywhere anytime soon.

This is an age-old discussion. We speak about them trending and then falling at the wayside but here we are writing an article about how irrelevant they have become while making them relevant again. The irony is not lost here, plus, currently, the women seem to be on their ‘A’ game. Kim and her momager Kris Jenner have released a new fragrance just in time for Mother’s Day, Khloe became more relatable when she spoke openly about freezing her eggs on national TV and Kylie, well, she is in a class of her own. In fact, she seems the least likely to care about relevancy, she frequently shies away from the spotlight and has already made enough money to get Stormi Webster and then some through life. Are they over? Not just yet but in response to that some would say never say never.
