Takeoff was a man who had deep faith. His homecoming will feature fellow celebrities who had the same god-fearing faith as the rapper.
Takeoff’s Funeral Will Be In Atlanta
The funeral or “homecoming” as us people of color like to call it will be held in Atlanta at the State Farm Arena supposedly set to take place on Friday, Nov. 11, 2022, Remembrance Day!
Not much is known about the ceremony, but the rapper’s pastor is sharing that it will be religious because Takeoff, real name Kirsnick Khari Ball was a man who believed in God and was active in his church, a side of him that shocked fans.
Rap artists are not often associated with religion and if they are, it can sometimes come off as mockery *cough* Kanye West, Ma$e *cough* but Ball was allegedly respectful about it. His pastor backed that up and several other rappers have as well.
Takeoff’s Pastor And Friends Are Mourning Him
As more details emerge, the rapper’s murder is looking more and more senseless and preventable. This prompted his pastor, Rev. Jesse Curney, III of New Mercies Christian Church to come out and share what a dedicated man Takeoff was in so. Many ways.
"I was really sad to hear the news. Kirshnik has been a faithful member since he was ten years old. He and his family were active and avid supporters of the church and the community as a whole."
Fans couldn’t believe it so rappers came to his defense in the midst of their mourning to make sure that the rapper’s reputation was not tarnished in any way. Producer Metro Boomin’ shared a message that Takeoff sent him after his mother passed.
After the sweetest sentiments possible from a rapper, he ends the well wishes to Metro Boomin’ with a passage from Matthew 5:4; “Blessed are they that mourn; for they shall be comforted” shared the producer.
Justin Bieber Set To Perform At Homecoming
More details are emerging about the ceremony that will take place to honor the 28-year-old including TMZ reporting that Justin Bieber another god-fearing celebrity will perform at the homecoming.
The singer doesn’t have any songs with Takeoff alone but he was featured on the hook of two Migos songs. "What You See" and "Looking for You". He also performed on a few of Quavo’s solo tracks like “No Brainer” and “I’m The One” which featured DJ Khaled.
The connection is visible and Bieber sure has the time to do it after canceling his world tour indefinitely for his mental and physical health. He hasn’t been on stage since early last month. While the homecoming is being planned, the hunt for the rappers murderer is underway.
Takeoff’s Murderer Still At Large
The police have shared that they need the public help finding Takeoff’s murderer(s) there is video footage that suggests a fight broke out over a dice game gone wrong and a man can be seen in the video brandishing a gun.
The police pleaded with witnesses who were there last night who are taking to social media with their information as opposed to reaching out to the police. The buzz on social media obviously has police worried because it can hinder their investigation and be dangerous for the person allegedly being accused.
Meanwhile, Takeoff’s friends and family are slowly sharing their grief process online and coming to the realization that he has passed.
