There's been so much drama surrounding major issues with Kanye West (Yeezy, Adidas, Donda School), but surprisingly his divorce case with Kim Kardashian is almost complete.
According to new legal documents, obtained by The Blast, both Kim K. and Ye have filed a "Final Declaration of Disclosure, current Income, and Expense Declarations, completed Schedule of Assets and Debts or Community or Separate Property Declarations with attachments, and the material facts and information," which is required in the State of California to settle a divorce case.
As you know, Kanye and Kim were not speaking to each other in the past few months -- and it appears their divorce case would never be finished. But, several days ago the former couple was spotted at one of their kids' football games and the conversation seemed to be amicable.
Kim Kardashian Turned Over All Financial Information To Kanye West In Divorce
As we previously reported, Kim and Ye filed "preliminary" declarations about their income and individual assets. Now, the ex-couple has filed the final disclosures that indicate that each side has given the other all of their financial information. In most cases, following this filing, the divorce will settle in the next few weeks. To most, these recent filings may seem redundant, but what they also mean is that both Kim and Ye have not given up on trying to settle their divorce and move on with their lives.
BTW -- For those of you who are not divorce lawyers, it should be noted Kim already received a ruling by a Los Angeles County judge making her officially and legally single. In other words, she can get married again. We are guessing that will not happen, considering she is split from Pete Davidson and doesn't seem to have a person in her life at the moment.
Kim Kardashian Is Already Legally A Single Woman
This wasn't the easiest process, considering Kanye was dragging his feet a bit in the divorce. Kardashian filed documents in this case, saying, "I have been attempting to settle our dissolution with [West] since I filed for divorce in February 2021." Adding, "I have requested several times that he agree to bifurcate and terminate our marital status. [Kanye] has not responded to my request."
Kim Kardashian addressed the situation on an episode of 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' following Kanye's move to Wyoming.
"I just think he deserves someone who will support his every move and go follow him all over the place and move to Wyoming. I can’t do that,” she said. Adding, "He should have a wife that supports his every move and travels with him and does everything, and I can’t. I feel like a f--king failure. It’s my third f--king marriage. Yeah, I feel like a f--king loser. But I can’t even think about that. I want to be happy."
Kanye West & Kim Kardashian Divorce Will Be Finished In Just Days
Unfortunately, Kanye's financial documents might have been a bit lighter than expected after Adidas and others dropped the rapper and designer for Anti-Semitic comments he made in a recent interview. Incredibly, the Adidas/Yeezy deal alone erased around 400 million of Kanye's net worth. Ouch.
The next stop...a settlement will be filed in the case, and it will officially end their marriage.
