Lil Wayne has lost faith in Green Bay Packers winning this season, and he blames the loss on Aaron Rodgers

The American rapper is a staunch supporter of the Packers. Previously, he revealed that he had grown up watching and supporting the club because of his dad. Since then, his love for the club has waxed stronger. In 2021, the “Lollipop” rapper released a song that later became the club's theme song.

However, the club is experiencing detrimental losses, and this made the rapper call out some performances. After their match this past Sunday, the Young money rapper declared that the team should have traded Rodger at the start of the season.

This post has garnered quite a large amount of attention, with over 49,000 likes and several retweets. Some of the artist’s fans seemed to agree with this opinion.

“Don’t think any real Packers fan disagrees with you.” one fan penned. “We needed to get that trade haul from the No 12 trade and build on the rest of the guys we had. Solid run but this teams window had closed. We tried to force it back with no WRs to add to add to that, and here we are.”

Another fan echoed the same opinion, writing, “KEEP TELLING THEM WEEZY! We could have traded 12 for a king's ransom and built a super team around Love. Now here we are.”

However, some fans do not concur with this take. A user disputed Wayne’s take, writing, “Not Rodgers fault. Multiple issues: o-line play is horrible in every aspect of the game & receivers are horrible.”

In case you missed it, Marca detailed this past match with the Packers playing against Detroit Lions. The Packers suffered their fifth consecutive loss and the sixth loss of the season.

In the game, the Packers quarterback threw three interceptions, resulting in a loss. Two interceptions were inside the red zone, though Rodgers completed 23 of 43 passes for 291 yards and a single touchdown pass to Allen Lazard. The 38- year-old player has made headlines all through the offseason for his poor performances.

It may seem that the Packers have lost their glory this season with only three wins while bagging six losses. Their chances of making the playoffs are slim, as they are way behind the division-leading Minnesota Vikings (7-1).

Although the Packers have a solid passing attack, their downfall comes from balancing the offense with the ground game. This was a significant setback in the match with Lions, as they encountered a defensive wall.

Another sad news for the Packers is that their best runner was Rodgers, who gained 40 yards on four carries, while AJ Dillon ran the ball 11 times for just 34 yards. Aaron Jones had nine carries for 25 yards, and Kylin Hill had one carry for seven yards.

The Packers managed to secure just nine points, while the Lions scored fifteen points, hence their loss. They’ve lost five straight games with Rodgers as QB for the first time since 2008.

Fans Call For Jordan Love To Take Over Aaron Rodgers

Per reports from Marca, the reigning league MVP had the worst stats throughout his career, with a 38.3 quarterback rating this season. After the past match against the Lions, the 38-year-old accepted the blame for the team’s loss. He told the media that he had "some sh---y throws, for sure."

Fans who were totally displeased with the concurrent losses called for Rodger’s job. They requested that Jordan Love take over from Rodgers.

This user penned on Twitter, “Aaron Rodgers is a bad investment, it’s time for the Packers to move on to the future. Jordan Love is the way!” while another stated that “There’s no reason why Jordan Love shouldn’t be starting the rest of the season.”

Rodgers, who has been quite low-key on social media, hasn't responded to the backlash, especially one from someone as influential as Lil Wayne.
