Shanna Moakler, a mother to three blossoming young adults, Atianna De La Hoya, Landon Barker, and Alabama Barker, is debunking claims about her failed relationship with her second daughter.
It is no news that sixteen-year-old Alabama has told the world severally of the non-existing bond between herself and her mother, which has now and again made headlines in various publications. A most recent one, captured by Moakler on her Instagram Story, called for attention to the duo's relationship, pointing at their estrangement, which the 47-year-old vehemently denied.
Shanna Moakler Insists She Raised Her Kids, Following Estrangement From Daughter Claims
"My daughter and I are not estranged," the former Miss New York USA declared on the gram after a media outlet Perez Hilton made a release about the pair's falling out. The publication featured a picture of the mother and daughter with a headline indicating their estrangement "yet again."
Above the screenshotted update, Moakler denied the news, adding, "wtf is this garbage… we have been friends for years I'd think you'd just text me…." Another Instagram Story post showed a throwback black and white adorable picture of the "Hollywood Exes" star with her three kids sitting on the floor in front of a fireplace.
She did not hesitate to tell the world via the post that she was responsible for raising her kids, after which she threw shade at haters stating, "F**k all of you for trying to shame me." Alabama seems not to be the only one who is not much of a fan of Moakler, as her brother, Landon, shares a similar sentiment.
In May 2021, The Blast reported that the 19-year-old supported his younger sister's claims about their mother being absent in their lives. At the time, Alabama called out the former Miss USA in an Instagram Story where she shared a DM showing her mom alleging their father, Travis Barker, was unfaithful.
The message claimed that Travis had an affair with his now-wife, Kourtney Kardashian, during his marriage to Moakler. Alabama appeared not to be convinced as she captioned the update, writing:
"My mom has never completely been in my life, can you guys stop painting her out to be an amazing mom. Did your mom ask to see you on Mother's Day cause mine didn't?"
Shortly after, Landon voiced his opinions when a TikTok user slammed him for being mean toward his mother. He told the critic, "our mom has never been in our lives and isn't there for us like our dad is."
The failed relationship between Moakler and her children has been going on for a while, and in the screenshotted message Alabama shared, the reality star claimed Travis was turning her kids away from her.
In addition, not only have Alabama and Landon accused her of being an absentee mother, but they have also had cruel words for her then-boyfriend Matthew Rondeau, whom they claim is horrible and cheats on Moakler.
Following the accusations, the "Pacific Blue" actress clapped back in response to an Instagram commenter wondering if the claims were valid. She called the allegations "completely rediculous [sic]," and her ex-beau Rondeau backed her by describing her as an "amazing mom" who loves and cares about her family.
The "Meet the Barkers" Star's Ex-Boyfriend Addresses Domestic Violence Charges
The debacle with her kids comes after Moakler was recently accused of being unfaithful to her ex, leading him to get violent and ultimately arrested after a video of his outburst went viral. The Blast reported that he was charged with felony domestic violence, but they were eventually dropped, prompting him to open up about the situation on his Instagram Story.
Rondeau's statement began, "I am so humbly grateful and thankful for the court's decision to drop all charges regarding the domestic violence allegations against me."
He appreciated his attorney Jeffrey Vallens, his family, and his friends who supported him since the beginning of the ordeal. In conclusion, the chef thanked God for always being with him before stating that he felt blessed to be able to move on toward his "dreams and aspirations."
Fans would recall that Rondeau and Moakler's drama immediately led them to call it quits, but the mother-of-three announced several days later that she was pregnant with her ex-partner's child.
She also decided not to press charges anymore against him and chose to support him as they both "learned from this experience" and wanted to move forward in a "positive and peaceful manner."
