Aaron Paul, 43, is known for his iconic role as Jesse Pinkman in "Breaking Bad."
However, what many fans may not realize is his last name is actually Sturtevant -- but it won't be for long because the actor has just legally filed to change his last name to Paul, along with his wife's last name and son's first and middle name.
The Paul Family
The "Breaking Bad" actor has just filed to legally change his family's last name, as well as the first and middle name of his seven-month-old baby boy.
According to legal documents, obtained by TMZ, Aaron, whose legal last name is Sturtevant, is now looking to legally change his last name to Paul, which fans of the actor know is the name he has gone by in the film and television industry for years.
His wife, Lauren, also wants to take the last name of Paul and their son's name, which is currently Casper Emerson Paul, but will soon be Ryden Caspian Paul.
Aaron Paul's Children
Aaron Paul became a father in 2018 when he and his wife of nine years, welcomed their baby girl, Story Annabelle, into the world. In 2020, the actor hinted at wanting more kids when speaking to Haute Living. “Fatherhood has definitely changed me,” he said. “Having a child is the closest thing to magic that anyone can have. I see why people rush home to be there when they get home from school. You don’t want to miss any of it.”
Paul continued, “It’s easily the best chapter of my life. … I feel I’m in a good place. I can’t wait to have another baby, and I’m so excited to see what 40 has to offer. I’m just excited to be around, to be alive. I’m just happy to be here. Life is good.”
Earlier this year, Paul and his wife welcomed their second child -- a baby boy.
"My little man. Ryden Caspian Paul. So happy you are out in this world you beautiful boy you," Paul wrote on Instagram at the time. "I promise to make you proud little guy. We have been absorbing this baby boy for the last month and feel it’s time to finally share the news of his arrival. We love you endlessly."

Paul's wife, Lauren Parsekian, 35, also took to social media at the time to share the news, writing, “Ryden Caspian Paul 💙 We’ve spent the last month getting acquainted with this little guy and we couldn’t be more in love.”
She continued, “Born on a full moon, he has such a gentle and knowing spirit. I’m so deeply thankful that he chose us to be a part of his journey. Name inspired by our favorite artist, @markryden.”
Paul asked his "Breaking Bad" costar Bryan Cranston to be Ryden's godfather. "I asked Bryan on his birthday if he would be our baby's godfather," Paul shared on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" in April. "No, he's very excited, very honored. I love the man to death. He's one of my best friends in the world, and, so yeah, it was just a no-brainer."
