Kelsea Ballerini and Morgan Evans are making headway with their divorce settlement.

The former couple, who tied the knot in December 2017 in Cabo, Mexico, was reported to have called it quits in August 2022, which Ballerini announced in the same month. Now, two months after the divorce filing, they are swiftly moving forward with their decision as they recently reached a settlement agreement, seemingly favoring both parties.

The court document obtained showed the musicians reached an agreement on all problems pertaining to their divorce on October 24 in the County of Davidson in Tennessee. The agreement states that Ballerini and Evans have moved out from their "marital residence" in Nashville, with the property being listed for sale using a jointly agreed upon realtor.

It also mentions that the ex-couple who had a prenup agreement have divided household furniture and other personal belongings. Meanwhile, fans would recall that the "Dibs" songstress initially filed for divorce from her ex on August 29 after almost half a decade of marriage.

It seemed that the marriage had quite the issues, as an informant told the publication that the former partners had been "working on their marriage for a very long time." They also revealed that Ballerini and Evans separated privately before the final split and had been in therapy for some years.

Although they gave the marriage their best shot, they, unfortunately, decided to "formally separate." After the divorce filing had been made, the 29-year-old vocalist informed fans in a lengthy message that she described as a "Deeply Difficult Decision." The post's caption partly read:

"Friends, I've always tried my best to share my life with you in a real and vulnerable way while also protecting layers of my personal life as they unfold."

She then noted that the divorce was already "public record," hence her wish for fans to hear the news directly from her. It was a "deeply difficult decision" for Ballerini, which she mentioned in her statement, adding that it resulted from a "journey of love, growth, and effort that ultimately has come to an end."

Nevertheless, she remained "extremely grateful" for the years of being maritally bound to the "Kiss Somebody" singer and was hopeful for the "next seasons." In concluding her announcement, she wrote:

"With very active schedules coming up, please be mindful that we are both fragile, actively healing, and showing up the best we can."

Ballerini and Evans were first introduced at an award show in March 2016. There was an immediate attraction, given that they had their first kiss at the same event after sharing a shot.

Later in November, they made their red carpet debut at the Country Music Association Award in matching outfits, looking head over heels for each other. The next month, they announced their engagement and eventually got married the following year in a "tequila-themed" ceremony with nearly a hundred loved ones present.

In October 2018, they released their first song together, "Dance With Me," and along the way, they moved from a downtown apartment in Nashville to their then newly-purchased property in the suburbs.

In September, The Blast reported that Ballerini shared some insight into her divorce drama by switching up the lyrics to some of her songs while performing at a New York City concert.

Some tunes included "Miss Me More," "What I Have," and "Get Over Yourself." In "What I Have," instead of singing, "I got a warm body in bed, "she vocalized, "I got my own body in bed."

Additionally, when performing "Get Over Yourself," she replaced "I'm the crazy ex that wrecked your life" with "I'm the crazy b*tch that wrecked your life."

Another piece the "Legends" vocalist used to dish her marital problems was "Doin' My Best," from her new album. She also sang about her estrangement from her former friend Halsey.

"I was friends with a pop star," she sang. "I put 'em on track four but / Wish I could take it back, I would've never asked/ If I knew we wouldn't talk anymore."
