Pregnant Heather Rae Young Teases Baby Shower Plans: 'It's Like A Wedding'

Heather Rae Young is sharing a significant update with fans as her expected due date draws closer!

Since the reality TV star announced that she and her husband, Tarek El Moussa, are expecting their first child together, she has maintained an honest and open stance, often sharing intimate details about the pregnancy journey. The "Selling Sunset" star did it again when she recently uploaded a video to her Instagram Story.

In the 40-second clip, Heather is seen in a gray sweatsuit with her blonde locks pulled away from her face. Even though her face was bare, she used a filter to hide facial blemishes and flashed her dimples as she discussed planning her baby shower. After greeting viewers, the soon-to-be mom said:

"Okay. So, I'm working on my baby shower seating chart — which is hard; it's like [planning] a wedding. I have a lot of girls coming, so it's pairing people together that I know are gonna get along [and] have fun together."

She noted that all her "friends love each other," a fact that even her baby could attest to because "he's kicking me right now!" That last statement prompted her to pull up her sweatshirt, revealing her visible bump to viewers. Heather then went ahead to share anatomical changes as she rubbed her stomach, stating:

"My belly button is getting big too. I had a [sic] outie growing up, so I'm wondering if it's, you know, reappearing now. Hoping it goes back, though."

The clip had the words, "Baby show prep. And baby boy kicking mama" on it. Although we cannot tell how many fans popped into her DMs to answer her question about her "outie," we do know that they responded excellently to a post she made last month.

The Blast shared that the radiant queen dropped two photos of her in a partially buttoned coffee brown waistcoat and partially unzipped pants. While the first image was a head-to-knee look at her outfit, a swipe to the left unveiled a closer look at her bump.

Heather appeared unbothered as she leaned against a nude-colored wall with both hands in her pants pockets. "The Internship" actress, who skipped out on wearing a bra in the snap, began her caption:

"Currently: the perfect mix of busy working mom-to-be and enjoying every moment of growing our boy [white love emoji]. I feel like even though I'm busier than ever I have so many moments where I pause to do little things like feel my belly or smile whenever I feel him kicking."

The expectant mother said she planned to handle being a mother with "meaningful intention instead of just going through the motions." She also wanted to be the kind of mom that worked and had an "amazing career but who also is there for all of the moments, big or small, for our baby boy."

Heather claimed that making those "kinds of intentions early on is so important," encouraging her fans that they could do the same "even if you're not pregnant." Her fans agreed with her words of wisdom, liking the post nearly 100k times.

In October, The Blast noted that Tarek could not help but brag about his wife in an Instagram post he shared on October 9. Alongside a picture of him and Heather posing on a walkway with the latter cradling her bump in a lacy black dress, the real estate investor penned:

"In awe of this woman and her ability to be so beautiful, hardworking, loving, and kind. She makes being a pregnant entrepreneur look easy and inspires me daily."

The father-of-two did not dismiss how "lucky" he was to have landed Heather, adding, "if you have any pregnancy related questions for us, drop them, and I'll get to see as many as I can" His supporters took him up on the offer, asking pregnancy questions related to his wife in the comments. Others simply gushed about how "adorable" the lovebirds looked.

The El Moussas committed to forever with a small wedding in Montecito, California, in 2021. Together they are raising Tarek's two other children — Taylor and Brayden, whom he shares with his ex-wife Christina Hall.
