Since the murder of Takeoff, fans have wondered why Offset and Cardi B haven’t released statements. Well, Offset just broke his silence on social media.
Offset Is Honoring Takeoff
The Migos are obviously going through a trying time right now. One of their group members was senselessly gunned down supposedly over a game of dice. Offset is acknowledging the passing of his cousin by changing his display pictures on Twitter and Instagram to a photo of Takeoff, smiling.
The rapper didn’t immediately post a tribute to his fallen soldier, even though Takeoff has been dead less than 48 hours, barely giving the living time to process that something final just happened. Regardless, trolls were in an uproar. This prompted fans and co-collaborators of Offset to speak up regarding the rapper’s lack of acknowledgment.
Offset Was Accused Of Beefing With Takeoff
One of the rumors that swirled involving the group members was that the two, Offset and Takeoff, were not on speaking terms. The rumor began to spread when the group went their separate ways to work on solo projects. fans looked at the brief hiatus as a done deal.
One in-the-know fan made it clear that “Offset and takeoff were on good terms before he passed just in case someone tries to run the other narrative today."
“It’s crazy how people mad that #CardiB and #Offset haven’t made a statement like the old the world a comment. Are y’all shitting me! How many of y’all would go on social media to make a statement to your family instead of soaking in what the hell just happened Y’all so entitled,” spoke up another fan.
Another fan repeated the sentiment. “Because #offset, #CardiB, #Quavo keep being repeated in this conversation: the bare fact is neither of them don’t owe any of us a statement at this exact moment. They’re in pain. They’re mourning. They don’t need to be by an iPhone or a laptop to cater to any of us first.”
Quavo Hasn’t Posted A Tribute To Takeoff Yet
In addition to fans slamming Offset and Cardi B, they attacked Quavo for not speaking on the incident yet especially seeing as he was there. However, the rapper’s last posts all involved his nephew.
One post was added the night they went out. The photo featured them in matching camo gear and it was captioned; “Real Soldiers Or Super Villain”. Since then family and friends have shown love to Quavo in the comments section.
DJ Steve Aoki wrote, “My bro I’m sending all my love and positive energy your way thru this time. I’m so sorry for ur loss quavo. All my love my brother.” Another encouraged the rapper to take care of himself.
“I hope someone is checking on you and you’re supported cuz that’s sum traumatic shit to watch a family member go like that. Condolences to you and nun wrong with some therapy and time away.”
