Former couple Tarek El Moussa and Christina Hall are teaming up for one last project called "Flip or Flop: The Final Flip."
The pair, who were married from 2009 to 2018, will be joining forces to renovate a duplex in Sunset Beach — one of their most complex projects to date — before officially parting ways as co-stars after their divorce. El Moussa shared details on the upcoming show in an Instagram post on Tuesday.
Tarek El Moussa & Christina Hall Will Appear On 'Flip or Flop' For The Last Time In December
In the image that accompanied the announcement, El Moussa is seen in his signal pose — one hand tucked in his pocket — beside Hall, who is standing akimbo. While the 41-year-old donned a blue collared shirt, dark blue jeans, and black footwear, his ex rocked a green and black top, blue jeans, and boots. El Moussa began his caption by recalling how special the ten years of filming "Flip or Flop" were. He then wrote:
"We're taking on one last project in an hour-long Flip or Flop special and it's one you can't miss. If you've been a Flip or Flop watcher from day one, you've really seen it all when it comes to our flips: the good, bad, ugly, funny, gross, etc and you've also seen it all when it comes to our lives: our children growing up, our life experiences, our businesses growing, etc. I can't tell you how much it has meant to get your guys' love and support for 10 years and without you I truly wouldn't be where I am today."
El Moussa assured fans that even though it was "the end of "Flip or Flop," they could watch his solo shows, "The Flipping El Moussas" and "Flipping 101." As for the last episode of his reality series with his ex, he disclosed it would air on HGTV on Thursday, December 1, at 8 pm.
He finished the lengthy statement by appreciating his 1.2 million fans for "being loyal to our show," asking those who "HAVE been watching since day one or anywhere close to it" to "comment below so I can show you guys some love!!"
Moments after his post went live, Hall reposted it on her Instagram story with a countdown timer attached to it. She added her own message across the post, which read, "MARK YOUR CALENDARS DOR DEC 1. YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS THIS EPISODE OF #FLIPORFLOP."
In their final special together, El Moussa and Hall would be providing footage of the construction and remodeling of the Sunset Beach house. There would also be interview clips of the former couple discussing the "wildest moments" they experienced in the ten seasons spent filming "Flip or Flop."
The show ran from April 2013 to March 2022, with the ex-lovebirds continuing to film after filing for divorce in 2017. The HGTV stars have since moved on, with Hall getting her reality series, "Christina on the Coast."
As reported by The Blast in March, the reality series follows the 39-year-old's life as a career woman and the mother to her three kids — Hudson London Anstead, Brayden El Moussa, and Taylor El Moussa.
The show also highlights Hall's "expertise in real estate, interior designs, and house-flipping." The update was celebrated by fans, who quickly liked and commented under the social media post she used to make the announcement.
Tarek El Moussa's Docuseries With Wife Heather Rae Young Set To Air Soon
In June, The Blast reported that Tarek and his current wife, Heather, were taking their love to the screens, thanks to their series, "The Flipping El Moussas." The joyous "Selling Sunset" star had taken to her Instagram to share the news with her three million followers. Uploading four photos of her and her beau posing in different houses, the 35-year-old penned:
"Beyond thrilled to finally share some really exciting news! After many conversations, we've finally made one of our goals a reality and are excited to announce our all new series, The Flipping El Moussas with HGTV coming in 2023!"
The post has over 260k likes, with many dropping congratulatory messages for the couple's milestone. While some highlighted their "excitement" at watching the couple, others dropped love and fire emojis in anticipation.
However, a few critics thought that the docuseries was a waste of time. In fact, one person joked it was "basically flip or flop 2.0," and another claimed that it was a "copycat" series. The project will unfold in two parts; a show about flipping houses and a reality series documenting the day-to-day lives of Tarek and his pregnant wife.
