Steinfeld's "I Love You's" marks the second colloboration between Republic Records and PicsArt’s Video Editor - the first being the Jonas Brothers' "What A Man Gotta Do" earlier this year.

Steinfeld, who, in the first-person, refers to fans as "my loves," has made many-a-recent-cry for said "loves" to send her their quarantine creations. One group of Steinfans gave an "I love you" to "I Love You's" with an 8-minute tribute video - their efforts received a next-day retweet from Steinfeld herself, so there's really no telling what she'll do with what comes next.

As countless artists continue to shelve their forthcoming projects due to the coronavirus pandemic, Steinfeld has proven that she is simply not about that narrative. Her new release serves at the lead single of a two-part project - the first iteration of which is due out on May 1st.

“After going through a breakup," Steinfeld says, "I decided I needed time to focus on myself and heal without the distractions of another relationship.

There’s something really empowering about deciding what’s best for you and putting yourself first. That’s what this record is about.”

If you're seeking inspiration for your personal PicsArt production, maybe you'll find it in the fact that Steinfeld made her directorial debut via the song's music video. Unsurprising, considering this multi-platinum artist is also an Oscar-nominated actress.

The star of Apple TV+'s "Dickinson" recently revealed that the original music video for "I Love You's" hit the cutting room floor. Little is known about the scrapped segment except that its scrapping brought about Steinfeld's new concept: "party of one."

The now-final, minimalist clip starts with Steinfeld standing in what she describes as "a confined space."

"It took some time but I eventually realized that even in a confined space, you can find yourself, you can learn to love yourself again."
