Sylvester Stallone Spills On 'Tumultuous' Brief Separation From Wife Jennifer Flavin

Action movie star, Sylvester Stallone, has reflected on his brief separation from Jennifer Flavin.

The pair are one of the longest-married couples in Hollywood, having tied the knot over 25 years ago. However, in August, the former model shocked fans by filing for divorce to end their marriage to the Hollywood veteran.

While many thought the two were set to have a drawn-out battle in court, they once again shocked the public by reconciling the following month. Now, Stallone has opened up about the entire ordeal, calling the period of separation a "very tumultuous time."

In an interview with the Sunday Times, the 76-year-old Rocky actor opened up about his breakup with wife Jennifer Flavin, who had earlier filed for divorce after 25 years of marriage back in August.

The news, which went viral at the time, also revealed that the pair were set for a massive court battle to share the properties they amassed over their marriage. However, after intimate discussions away from the public eye, they ended their differences and continued with their union.

Speaking with the publication, Stallone shared that the period of separation was a "very tumultuous time" for him. In those moments, he had to do a lot of self-introspection to help him realize that being available for his family should come ahead of any of his other engagements.

The actor said, per Yahoo, "There was a reawakening of what was more valuable than anything, which is my love for my family. It takes precedence over my work, and that was a hard lesson to learn."

Further reflecting on his marriage to the former model, Stallone revealed that he used to put Hollywood ahead of his home life, seemingly suggesting that it slowly drove a wedge in their marriage and the relationship he shares with the kids.

The "Creed" actor and Flavin share three daughters, Sophia, 26, Sistine, 24, and Scarlet, 20. Stallone also shares son Seargeoh, 43, with ex Sasha Czack.

"I didn't pay enough attention when they were growing up," he told the publication remorsefully. "I was so career-oriented, and now I go, 'OK, I don't have that much runway up ahead, and I want to start asking them about their lives."

Stallone added per Yahoo, "I ask them about their day, and they started at first a little monosyllabic. Then I heard one say, 'I was just thinking about you.' Oh my God. I've never heard that before in my life. When a daughter knows you care, she's there forever."'"

Following Stallone's reconciliation with his wife, the pair are working hard to ensure they don't experience such crises again.

Earlier in the month, an insider told People, "They have moved past many negative issues and are working hard to make their marriage work. They really don't want a divorce. They both agree that they have issues. There is no blame."

The source shared that they were now dealing with their issues in a "very mature way," away from public scrutiny.

The source added, "Jen is very happy. Sly is the love of her life. She was just frustrated and needed changes. She is getting those changes now. She loves that Sly is making an effort. She feels heard and appreciated."

Per People, the pair's recent appearances in different outings have confirmed to fans that they were making much progress in resolving their differences and are no longer at loggerheads.

Earlier in the month, Stallone and Flavin were spotted at the Ralph Lauren SS23 Runway Show in California in the company of daughters Sophia Stallone and Sistine Stallone. The family took several shots on the red carpet, just like in other family events before the foiled divorce.

The recently reunited pair was also seen out and about in New York City on October 7, both wearing their wedding bands. They were initially spotted during the daytime as they made their way to an art gallery to meet up with "Wolf Of Wall Street" actor Leonardo DiCaprio and his father.
