OJ Simpson is on board with Elon Musk's reign as the new owner of Twitter!

The former NFL player, now turned sports commentator, recently congratulated the “Tesla” CEO on his successful purchase of the social media platform and made a huge request from the new owner.

The controversial tv personality became a media sensation after he was alleged to have murdered his ex-wife, Nicole Brown, and her friend, Ron Goldman, in 1994. However, the worldwide story took a shocking twist in 1995 when a jury acquitted him and freed him from all charges.

However, along the line, a civil trial was conducted and found him liable for their deaths. He was then ordered by a different jury to pay the sum of $33.5 million to the victim’s families.

OJ S seems to have landed his widely anticipated opportunity and isn’t wasting any time in grabbing it by the scruff of its neck.

Simpson posted a video on Twitter last Thursday, congratulating Musk for taking over Twitter and further stating his demands to the famous billionaire.

The sports broadcaster, who donned a blue zip-up jacket, started by saying, “Hey Twitter world, it’s me, yours truly. Let me start off today by congratulating Elon Musk for taking over Twitter. Maybe I can get authenticated. Maybe I can get a blue check,” while he tagged the account that oversees Twitter’s verification policy.

He continued his speech by complaining about the number of accounts impersonating his own, @TheRealOJ32. He stated, “I’ve tried for years to get that blue check because there are so many fake O.J. Simpson accounts,” before adding,” There have been a bunch of them, and from time to time, people would say, ‘Why did you say this? ‘And I’d say, ‘I didn't say it. That was one of those fake accounts.’”

He concluded in an optimistic tone by saying, “a lot of people probably deal with that, so maybe that will come to an end.”

Simpson is known to regularly post commentary about sports and current events in videos on his Twitter account and has amassed a huge following of over 800,000 followers. However, the microblogging app is yet to verify his account.

Unfortunately for the former football player, a lot of Twitter users were not having his pep talk and didn’t waste time expressing their displeasure and disapproval watching him freely talk and express his feelings.

We can all categorically recall that the tragic double homicide case of 1994, which involved OJ's wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ronald Goldman, was never fully solved.

The sports commentator maintained his stance on not having anything to do with the murders, therefore making the case unsolved and him being acquitted of all charges.

However, it seems like a lot of people haven’t moved on from the tragic incident, and some still harbor ill feelings toward OJ, as the replies in his comment section prove it. A Twitter user who poked fun at the former footballer wrote, “Who does a guy have to kill to get a verified Twitter account around here?”

Another hilarious user wrote, “Maybe Elon can help you find the real killer,” while a third added, “I thought the DNA test verified you 27 years ago.”

A very pissed-off individual noted, “Dude just carries on like nothing happened. I bet he put the memory so far back that he can't even find it. I bet if he did a healthy dose of shrooms the memories would be intense.”

However, the “Tesla” CEO later tried backing out of the deal and was sued by the managing directors of the app. However, after grueling back and forth between Musk representatives and the board of management of Twitter, he succumbed to acquiring the widely used app.
