Val Chmerkovskiy has some disappointing news for his fans.
The professional dancer has previously starred in several seasons of “Dancing With The Stars,” but for this season of the reality competition, the 36-year-old is partnering with “The Bachelorette” star Gabby Windey.

Val Chmerkovskiy Breaks Sad News Of COVID Diagnosis To His Fans
The Ukraine native took to his Instagram to disclose to his fans that he would be unavailable for Monday's episode.
“Got some bad news, guys,” the dancer began the video, which showed him shirtless. “I, unfortunately, tested positive for COVID and will not be able to perform this Monday.”
He further expressed his displeasure towards this incident, saying, “It sucks majorly, for lack of a better, more profound word.” Although this update is disheartening, there’s a ray of hope for fans as Chmerkovskiy revealed that his partner tested negative.
Thankfully, the dancer also stated that there are pro dancers who could learn the routine to replace him on Monday. He then encouraged his fans to vote so they could make it back next week.
Once again, Chmerkovskiy stated his aversion to this sad news. He said, “Again, this is a huge bummer. I’m very disappointed. I feel like I let some people down.'' The soon-to-be dad also added that he “selfishly was really looking forward to this week’s routine, being Halloween, being Argentine tango. I really, really love this routine.”
As for fans' reactions to this news, the comment section of the post was completely supportive and encouraging. One fan penned, “I’ll miss seeing you on the dance floor this week, but I’ll still be voting for you and Gabby! Feel better soon and can’t wait to see you back next week!❤️”
Another fan commented, “It’s not your fault, Covid is going around everywhere, and you can be as careful as possible and still pick it up. It is a major bummer, but please take care of yourself. Your health and fam’s is most important.” His partner Windey also dropped a heartfelt comment for the dancer.

The sad news of the two-time Mirror Ball trophy holder's diagnosis came a few months after Chmerkovskiy announced some good tidings.
The Blast reported that in August, the “DWTS” couple revealed the gender of their forthcoming baby. The excited soon-to-be dad took to his Instagram, where he made the announcement with cute pictures.
In the first picture, the couple held gold canisters as they smiled at the camera. Johnson donned a two-piece knit set while her handsome beau wore a white tank top and brown pants.
The following picture featured them as the canister was popped, spilling out blue- confetti. The Ukrainian-American kept his caption simple with a blue heart emoji.
Meanwhile, his lovely wife shared a detailed view of the event. She posted a carousel of pictures that featured the couple in all smiles.
“IT’S A.....BOY!!!!!!!💙” Johnson announced in the caption. “Today, we are officially halfway there to meeting our son. Saying those words still makes me emotional! SO EXCITED to be a boy mom.” Although the gender reveal was low-key, several of their celebrity friends and dancers congratulated the couple via the comments.
Their friends have been supportive of the pair since the dating rumors started back in 2015. According to reports, the relationship rumors started when they were allegedly spotted getting cozy during “DWTS” rehearsals.
'Dancing With The Stars' Fans Air Out Their Grievances With The Last Elimination
In case you missed it, earlier this month, fans of the dancing competition show were furious about the elimination that took place during the October 18 episode.
After spectacular performances from each team, the results were announced, and the judges thought that it was time for Joseph Baena and his pro-dancer partner Daniella Karagach to leave the show. This decision left fans enraged, and they took to Twitter to vent.
One user wrote, “Dancing with the stars tonight was rigged how tf is Vinny still here, 2 great dancers with consistently good scores were in the bottom two.”
The fans even went as far as creating a Twitter poll asking fans if they think the reality show is rigged — to which 87.3% say yes.
