Actress Valerie Bertinelli recently reacted to Matthew Perry's claim that they made out while she was still legally married to musician Eddie Van Halen.

In an excerpt from his upcoming memoir, the "Friends" actor said that the make-out session took place right next to the rock musician, who was unconscious due to alcohol.

In a brand-new TikTok video, Bertinelli seemed to have addressed claims in Perry's upcoming memoir Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing that she and the "Friends" star had a make-out session when she was still married to rock star Eddie Van Halen.

Playing in the background of the clip she posted was Taylor Swift's brand-new song, "Anti-Hero," which has made headlines since it debuted a few days ago.

"Anyone misbehave in their 20s and early 30s? Are you mortified?" read the caption written on the video, per Insider. In the clip, Bertinelli grins and shakes her head awkwardly, as Swift voices the lyrics, "It's me, hi, I'm the problem. It's me."

The song, which comes from the Grammy award-winning musician's 10th studio album, "Midnights," also has a music video centered on many past experiences from Swift's life – the good, the bad, and the ugly.

Since it debuted, it has become popular among TikTok users, who have used it to expose their flaws and other past actions they now regret.

While Bertinelli's caption did not directly reference her alleged escapade with the "Friends" star, fans felt that the actress making the post at the same time the risqué excerpt from Perry's upcoming memoir surfaced was no coincidence at all.

Perry wrote in the tell-all book that the "long, elaborate make-out session" happened while the actress's then-husband Eddie Van Halen was passed out drunk next to them. At the time, the pair were starring in the short-lived sitcom "Sydney" and were spending a lot of time together.

The actor shared that he then "fell madly in love" with Bertinelli, claiming that her marriage to Van Halen was a "troubled" one,

He wrote, per Page Six, "My crush was crushing; not only was she way out of my league, but she was also married to one of the most famous rock stars on the planet, Eddie Van Halen."

Fans Slam Matthew Perry For 'Kissing And Telling'

After Bertinelli reposted her TikTok video on her Instagram page, fans jumped in on the conversation, criticizing the "Friends" star for revealing such a private detail in his book.

A very pissed off fan commented, "What a jack***. Throwing shade on an addiction by kissing and telling. Some "Friend".."

One fan said, "That was truly unchivalrous and reeks of someone trying desperately to stay relevant. I loved friends and was truly rooting for its troubled star. But he can suck it for that."

Another follower wrote, "I'm kinda losing respect for him with some of the things I'm reading he put in his book. Not cool to do. "

Others advised the actress not to let the experience "mortify" her because it doesn't alter who she is as a person.

One Instagram user mentioned, "No reason to be mortified - those experiences make up the rich tapestry of our lives. Besides, it's history. Nothing you can do about it now but own it, while another wrote, "Oh stop it, shit happens! Don't beat yourself up over it."

Details about his alleged make-out session with Bertinelli are not the only thing readers would get when Perry's memoir debuts on November 1, 2022. The actor has also extensively detailed his long-term battle with addiction and how it almost cost him his life.

He recently shared with People his reason for authoring the book, saying he wanted to aid others who were going through similar circumstances. He also explained why it took a while for him to publish his experiences.

"I wanted to share when I was safe from going into the dark side of everything again," the actor told the publication. "I had to wait until I was pretty safely sober — and away from the active disease of alcoholism and addiction — to write it all down. And the main thing was, I was pretty certain that it would help people."
