Piers Morgan, who has been a regular critic of the royal couple, Prince Harry & Meghan Markle, since their marriage and eventually stepping down from official royal duties, is back again with reproach.
Given the recent announcement of Prince Harry's soon-to-be-released memoir "Spare," Morgan took to Twitter to slam the father-of-two, naturally prompting fans to react in kind to him.
Piers Morgan Calls Prince Harry A D**khead Ahead Of New Book Release
Alongside a picture of Prince Harry's book cover, the 57-year-old wrote, "Playing the victim, again, as he trashes his family, again, from his California mansion. All while playing the big privacy & 'humanitarian' crusader ā¦ what a d**khead."
Harry's face was featured on the cover in the image, with his name and the memoir's title boldly written above and below, respectively. "His words. His story" was also penned on the update's picture above the book, while its release date, January 10, 2023, was added below along with the website Princeharrymemoir.com.
Morgan shared another message on Twitter, comparing Prince Harry's book cover to Andre Agassi's using two pictures of the separate covers and pointing out that the former's work is a replica. He wrote:
"This is hilarious.. Harry didn't just hire the same ghost-writer who did Andre Agassi's book, he's even copied the front cover photo. The only difference is one had a world class talent for sport, the other a world class talent for whining."
One would expect that fans would be on the March-born broadcaster's side, but that was not the case, as they backlashed him for being supposedly petty and obsessive. A fan expressed, "At what point does repeatedly berating an individual online become nothing more than cyber bullying? It's a book release! Leave the guy alone.
The same follower believed the criticism made Morgan look like a "whining child" who keeps yelling loudly until he feels he is heard. Another user told him to "let it go" as the drama had become tiresome. They added that the TV host's "toxicity" was not gaining him an audience or "detracting from [the monarchs'] fabulous lives in the least bit."
One other fan thanked Morgan for the advertisement and declared that he would purchase Prince Harry's memoir because of the tweet. Shortly after, a supporter of Prince Harry wrote, "I can't believe how you dare to speak about Harry with a picture of his grandmother on your Twitter profile. It's utterly disgusting."
They went on to express disbelief that Morgan had a "space on TV," which was also "disgusting" but not as "immoral" as having the late Queen Elizabeth as their avatar while insulting her grandson.
Another Twitter user insisted that the onscreen icon was obsessed while implying that Prince Harry did not copy Andre Agassi's work as both covers had their faces over their biography.
One fan who was no supporter of the prince or his wife advised the journalist to "get a grip" after pointing out that he could win an Olympic gold medal for whining about the subject.
Agreeing with the remark, a follower expressed love for him but noted that the drama was getting boring. She also asked if he was still envious that Meghan Markle did not want him. The fan added, "It's about time they put a stop to you slagging them off at every opportunity you get."
The "Piers Morgan Uncensored" Star Condemns The Royal Couple's NAACP AppearanceĀ
Morgan's beef with Prince Harry and his successful partner has been a long-running affair that the former CNN staffer does not seem to be ashamed of whenever he roasts on Twitter.
In February, The Blast shared that Morgan had another field day of taking jabs at Harry and Meghan. The TV personality took to Twitter to attack the couple's appearance at the NAACP Image Awards, held on February 26.
Morgan called them "clowns" in his message and opined that presenting them with an award was "hilarious" as he claimed they were only famous for "trashing their families on TV," among other things.
He also asserted that the twosome was only known for "ruthlessly exploiting their royal titles for vast financial gain and preaching about equality and environment from their California mansion & private jets."
Twitter users took no time slamming the editorial director's remarks, with several maintaining that he behaved in such a way because the Duchess of Sussex was not interested in dating him and was living her best life with the Duke.
