Selena Gomez Shockingly Cancels Late Show Appearance Due To Illness

Selena Gomez is battling COVID-19 forcing her to cancel her appearance on The Late Show With Jimmy Fallon.

The singer who recently dropped her new AppleTV+ documentary My Mind & Me was supposed to sit down with Fallon and talk about the doc, what it means to her, and possibly perform the title track.

Unfortunately, she was forced to post a cancelation message on IG Stories sharing that she just can’t make it. “I'm not going to be on Fallon tonight,” she beings the message to her fans. “I ended up getting covid but am resting and feeling ok.”

In true Selena style, she also took the moment to throw out a PSA regarding the illness. “A friendly reminder covid is still out there. Get updated on your boosters,” she implores her followers.

The Disney Channel alum is resting and admits she was days away from getting her latest booster when this happened. “I was actually scheduled to get mine this week. Love you all,” she shared the message along with a photo of herself in bed.

Gomez is surrounded by her dogs and cuddled under a heap of sheets on what looks like a bunch of cushions on the floor, but, we’re sure, it’s just a fancy AF couch we will never be able to afford.

The news about Selena fighting COVID-19 is upsetting. The singer has been hyping her fans up about the documentary and in the last few weeks she has been teasing more and more about the doc including the release date and a snippet of the song she wrote about her mental health struggles.

Gomez has also used herself as a promotion for the film. Her authentic self. She shared intimate details about her body with her followers that she isn’t required to share with anyone. Her lupus diagnosis, her mental health status, her scar from her kidney transplant, and now, here she is using her mental health to hopefully heal others.

when does the selflessness end with Gomez her followers are wondering? This is why the cancelation of her appearance on Fallon’s late-night show is such a disappointment, we all want more of Selena!
