Rogers had been making a name for herself for over 10 years as she was discovered as a model by Ford Models at the age of 14. She was scouted at New Jersey’s Six Flags Great Adventure and was signed by the agency in New York the very next day. She ended up being sober for three years though and her mother's passing motivated her to not go down that path again after Rogers had previously been to rehab a year before.

“I realized I didn’t have control of the situation anymore the day that I didn’t even feel like getting high, and my body was like, ‘B****, you better get high before you start throwing up and acting like a fool,'” said Rogers in an interview with Pitchfork.
