Leslie Jordan had been ill for several weeks prior to his death, and now investigators say they need more information to confirm his official cause of death.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner just released further details surrounding the actor's death, claiming the official ruling has been "deferred" and an additional investigation is needed.
The fact his cause of death was "deferred" is significant because if his death was due to injuries sustained in a straight car accident -- it would not be deferred. The case would be closed, following his autopsy.
Leslie Jordan's Cause Of Death Status DEFERRED
As we reported, the late actor complained about shortness of breath in the days prior to his crash and had plans to see his doctor next week.
According to reports, Leslie had scheduled an appointment with his cardiologist before his unexpected death.
Sources close to the “Will & Grace” actor told the media that he was feeling unwell for three weeks and was scheduled to see his doctor within the next week to see if he was suffering from any underlying conditions. It’s been reported Leslie might have suffered a medical emergency prior to crashing his BMW into the side of a building in Los Angeles on Monday morning.
Early indications reveal he might have suffered a heart attack just prior to crashing his vehicle. Also, investigators will run a toxicology report on the actor's bloodstream to see if anything was in his system which might be responsible. Plus, the blood tests will show any other issues that might be the cause.
