Shoe brand giants, Adidas, have finally severed ties with controversial rapper Kanye West following a long string of anti-Semitic comments by the rapper and recent anti-Semitic protests also spurred by him.

Adidas has been under major pressure to drop Ye due to what a lot of people are condemning as hate speech. Big brands like Balenciaga and Vogue have dropped the artist, along with his longtime talent agency, CAA. The Kardashian family also recently came out to condemn his hate speech in short messages of support to Jewish people.

Ye's recent controversial behavior began during the Paris Fashion Week when he got called out for wearing "White Lives Matter" T-shirts at his fashion show. Since then, it's been a downward spiral of one controversial take to another.

Adidas finally cut ties with Ye shortly after a clip of him boasting that the shoe brand couldn't do anything to him no matter what he said went viral.

According to Bloomberg, a statement shared by the shoe company read, "Ye's recent comments and actions have been unacceptable, hateful and dangerous, and they violate the company's values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect and fairness."

They also stated that they were cutting all ties with the rapper, ceasing production of all their Yeezy-branded products, and will also stop all payments to the embattled rapper and his company.

Adidas joins other fashion giants like Balenciaga, Vogue, and Gap, who have publicly condemned Ye and distanced themselves from the rapper.

The Rapper Recently Boasted That Adidas Could Not Drop Him

Ye went Viral again after stating that Adidas could not drop him no matter the kind of anti-semitic comments he made.

In a viral clip, the rapper said, "The thing about it, me and Adidas, is like, I could literally say anti-semitic sh*t, and they can't drop me. I could say anti-semitic things, and Adidas can't drop me," the rapper said adding "now what? Now what?"

Following this, the pressure mounted on the sports clothing brand to sever ties with Ye increased, with many threatening to boycott them completely if they chose to remain silent.

Over the weekend, an anti-semitic group was spotted on the Los Angeles freeway with banners boldly stating that "Kanye is right about the Jews" while throwing the infamous Nazi salute. The same group reportedly shared several pamphlets with extremely anti-jew conspiracy theories. The rapper has been condemned as the reason behind this recent string of anti-jew protests.

The Kardashian Family Speak Out Against Kanye West

Members of the Kardashian-Jenner clan recently condemned the rapper's hate speech online. Much like Adidas, several people have called out the family for failing to speak out regarding Ye's antisemitism. In various social media posts, the reality stars made their stand clear by showing support for Jewish people.

Khloe Kardashian was the first to speak out by sharing a post of support to the Jewish community, which read, "I support my Jewish friends and the Jewish people." Her other sisters also followed suit by sharing the same message, which was made by American author Jessica Seinfeld.

Ye's ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, took a more personal approach and made a statement that directly condemned the rapper's hate speech. Kim shared a message on her Instagram stories saying that "hate speech" was unacceptable.

The message by the business mogul read, "Hate speech is never OK or excusable. I stand together with the Jewish community and call on the terrible violence and hateful rhetoric towards them to come to an immediate end." Kim's message came right after she was seen having a three-hour dinner with Ivanka Trump, where they reportedly discussed her ex's controversial behavior.

Following his anti-semitic behavior and recent close friendship with Youtuber and conspiracy theorist Candace Owens, several of Ye's friends have expressed great concern for the rapper.

According to TMZ, Owens has become a very close confidant of the embattled rapper and advises him on the moves to make. Ye's friends are reportedly worried that she could negatively influence his life.

The school owner, Ye, recently made an appearance at Owens' red carpet premiere for her "BLM" docuseries. He is also reportedly purchasing Parler, a social media app that Owens' husband, George Framer, owns.

Ye has made it quite clear that he does not plan on apologizing for his anti-semitic rants and has only doubled down on them whenever he gets called out.
