The Truth About Olivia Wilde Abandoning Dog For Harry Styles Revealed!

Olivia Wilde was accused by a former nanny of abandoning her rescue dog, Gordon, to spend time with Harry Styles.

Last week, a nanny who used to work for Wilde and her ex-fiancé, Jason Sudeikis, did a tell-all interview with the Daily Mail.

She revealed a TON of incriminating information regarding the celebs’ tumultuous relationship and her affair with Styles.

When the “Don’t Worry Darling” actress/director met Styles on the set of the film, the nanny claimed that Wilde up and ditched her golden retriever in order to spend more time with the singer.

“She came for a visit and said, ‘We have to find Gordon a new home,’” nonchalantly the nanny told The Daily Mail. “Jason doesn’t really care for animals and wanted him out of their home ASAP.”

The nanny went on to say she arranged for Gordon to be re-homed with his New York City dog walker, not to be confused with the Los Angeles dog walker.

Now, the animal rescue organization where Wilde purchased Gordon is speaking up in defense of the actress.

MaeDay Rescue in Los Angeles issued a statement about Wilde’s handling of rehoming Gordon.

They called Wilde a “responsible pet owner.”

Taking to Instagram late last week, MaeDay Rescue issued the following statement, “This is Maeday adopted dog Gordon, who we rescued in 2018 from the shelter along with his 4 littermates. (Slide to see baby pics.) Founder of Maeday rescue @nataliewould fostered them and bottle fed them until we found their perfect forever homes. Well, you may have seen Gordy in the news lately and we want to set the record straight.”

“Gordy was adopted to @oliviawilde at 2 months old and after giving him much love and training and travel adventures, she realized that Gordy didn’t love the travel life and wasn’t happy around toddlers. Gordy had formed a very strong bond with his dog walker and in Gordy’s best interest and after much thought and consideration, he was rehomed to his Brooklyn dog walker,” the post continued. “Before this decision was made, Olivia called Maeday to discuss, and we were involved in the decision. We pride ourselves on finding that perfect forever home for our Maeday animals and every once in a while, the animal is just happier in a different environment and that’s okay. Olivia is a huge animal rescue advocate and rehomed Gordy out of compassion and love for him. The best part is Gordy has his own IG @gord_sounds and as you can see, he is living his best life! We felt like we should share this because we hate that the media is painting a Maeday adopter in a bad light. Thanks for adopting @oliviawilde and for being a responsible pet owner. ?”

The Instagram account disabled comments on the post.

Wilde has not publicly addressed the claims the nanny made about her rehoming Gordon, but she and Sudeikis did release a joint statement about the other claims the nanny made regarding their relationship.

On October 17th, the exes joined forces in a joint statement negating everything the nanny dished on.

They told TMZ, "As parents, it is incredibly upsetting to learn that a former nanny of our two young children would choose to make such false and scurrilous accusations about us publicly."

The former couple said the nanny’s claims are part of an “18-month long campaign of harassing us, as well as loved ones, close friends and colleagues."

The nanny was fired in February 2021 and had worked for the couple for three years.

Neither Wilde nor Sudeikis will stand for the nanny’s bad mouthing.

In a joint statement, the “Don’t Worry Darling” director and “Ted Lasso” star slammed the nanny for making “false and scurrilous” accusations.

The nanny’s accusations involved Sudeikis finding out about Wilde’s affair with Harry Styles by way of her Apple watch.

She also alleged the actor laid in front of Wilde’s car to prevent her from going to see the former One Direction member.

For context, Wilde claims their relationship was over at the beginning of 2020; however, their breakup became public in November 2020.
