Singer Beyoncé and Jay Z's ten-year-old, Blue Ivy, placed a bid of over $80,000 for a pair of diamond earrings during a charity art function. The Grammy-winning duo got married in April 2007 and, almost three years later, welcomed their first child together, Blue. Their twins, Sir and Rumi, were born in July 2017.
While the famous family is known to lead a fiercely private life, they have attended every iteration of the Tina Knowles organized event. In the 2018 gala, Blue made a bid of almost $20,000 for a painting; however, she lost to Tyler Perry.
This year, Blue went to work bidding again, but with a considerably higher amount. While Perry was in the audience, the filmmaker was not the one who stole her thunder this time around.

Blue joined her parents, Grammy-winning artists Beyoncé and Jay Z, at the Los Angeles 2022 Wearable Art Gala, held on October 22. The 10-year-old wasn't just a spectator to the auction; she also placed a bid that soared past an amazing $80,000 for the highest ticket piece of the evening.
A clip of the event was shared by "Abbott Elementary" star Quinta Bronson on the writer's Instagram story. The actress cheered Blue on while she, under the supervision of her parents, bid for a pair of diamond Lorraine Schwartz earrings.
While the diamond earrings previously belonged to Beyoncé, it was her mother, Tina Knowles, that had the jewelry on that night. Tina is the co-founder of the WACO Theater Center and event organizer. She was also an honorary chair during the gala.

Bronson's video started with Keke Palmer asking the crowd if they would let the item go for $80,000. She said, "$80,000, y'all going to let her take it? $80,000, going once. $80,000, going twice and —." The 10-year-old cut her off mid-sentence when she jumped from her seat and waved her panel.
Bronson, from behind the camera, said, "Blue! She's so rich," after Blue placed her bid. However, she was ultimately outbid by Monique Rodriguez and her husband, Melvin. The Mielle Organics founder made a hefty $105,000 bid and beat Blue to the diamond earrings which previously belonged to her mother.
For the event, Blue had on a blue suit paired with strands of pearls and a beautiful feathered headband. The WACO gala was held to raise money for the WACO Theater Center and had several A-list celebrities in attendance.
Beyoncé And Jay Z Were At The Event
The event was themed "Harlem Nights," celebrating 1920s to 1950s fashion. Blue was accompanied by her father, who had on a velvet tuxedo jacket with a white dress shirt along with a black bow tie, pants, and black patent leather dress shoes.
Beyoncé also made a rare appearance at the event and wore a strapless custom-made Gucci mermaid dress with embellished stars around the bust area. The "Single Ladies" artist wrapped up the look with a pair of pink opera gloves with ruffles at the shoulder, a Dolce & Gabbana clutch purse, and a different pair of Lorraine Schwartz earrings.
Solange Knowles, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams were also at the gala and helped chair the event. Other A-list celebrities who made an appearance include Angela Bassett, Lupita Nyong'o, Magic Johnson, Tyler Perry, Terry Crews, Chloe, Halle Bailey, and others.
Blue Ivy Once Bid $19,000 For An Item
This is not Blue's first rodeo placing bids on items. In 2018, at just six years old, she bid $17,000 during a previous iteration of the gala. She attended the event with her parents again; however, her item of interest at the time was not jewelry.
The 10-year-old wanted to purchase an acrylic painting of a younger version of Sidney Poitier. Blue eventually went higher in her bid to $19,000, to the horror of Jay Z, who jokingly tried to stop her from increasing the amount. The item was ultimately won by Perry, who offered $20,000.
Despite the loss, the 10-year-old went home with something. Via Vanity Fair, Blue placed a bid of $10,000 on an art piece created using deconstructed law as well as medical books. She won the 36" x 36" artwork.
