Inside Kim Kardashian's 42nd Birthday Bash That Didn't Make It To Vegas

If there's one thing about the Kardashian-Jenner clan, they know how to throw a birthday. Hence, Kim Kardashian's 42nd birthday over the weekend was no exception.

The most famous member of the high-profile family went out in style for her big birthday. However, the big wasn't a complete success due to some logistic issues. Keep reading to find out how Kim celebrated her birthday in grand style!

The celebrations started with an intimate family dinner held at her office space in Calabasas. Per reports, it was a through-and-through family event with  Kendall Jenner, Kourtney Kardashian and husband Travis Barker, momager Kris Jenner and boyfriend Corey Gamble, Khloe, and a few close friends in attendance.

Her office space was revamped and decorated with dozens of lit candles and what looked like a tent as everyone enjoyed their meal at a long table. Kim gave a glimpse at the intimate celebration on her Instagram Story as her mother, Kris, gave a passionate speech to celebrate her.

For the special dinner, the SKIMS founder turned heads in a sensational Dolce & Gabbana sheer lace gown that flaunted the asset-hugging lingerie she wore underneath. The see-through lacy dress featured a floral pattern, a low back line, and an A-line train that extended for a few meters.

The mother-of-four styled her platinum blonde tresses in loose waves that fells down her back and glammed up with glossy nude gloss, smoky eyes, and blush. Kim kept her accessories to a minimum, rocking a tiny statement sparkly purse and a pair of white strappy stiletto heels with an open toe. The only jewelry she wore was a silver cross necklace and a matching ring.

Throughout the day, the SKKN By Kim founder enjoyed an outpouring of tributes from family and friends throughout the day and spent some time painting with her children, as detailed on her joint TikTok account, which she shares with her daughter North West.

Of course, it’s unlike the Kardashians to have a tamed, low-key celebration. So fans weren’t surprised when Kim detailed part two of the celebration on her Instagram story. Kim, alongside her gang, which comprised of sister Khloe, mom Kris, and friends Stephanie Shepherd, Malika Haqq, Khadijah Haqq McCray, Tracy Romulus, and many more.

Kim and the gang flew onboard younger sister Kylie Jenner’s Kylie Air which was decorated with several balloons, with women dressed in burlesque-themed costumes welcoming them. Onboard the party began with an excess flow of jelly shots and a Kim-themed drink menu with cocktails named KIKI-RITA, KIMTINI, and KEEKS KOUGAR KOURAGE.

For the second adventure of the day, Kim switched her look and opted for a shimmery two-piece consisting of a bikini bra and wide-legged pants. Her taut midriff was on display in the sultry ensemble, which she paired with a cross-pendant choker.

According to the birthday girl, the private jet was headed to Las Vegas to enjoy another party hosted at Carbone Las Vegas before heading to singer Usher’s prestigious residency at Park MGM. Unfortunately, they couldn’t make it to Vegas as the plane couldn’t land twice due to weather issues.

She shared the heartbreaking news alongside a photo of her descending from a party bus, writing, "For the record… we did fly to Vegas and try to land twice at two different airports. And it was too dangerous, so safety first always, and we flew home."

Nevertheless, the missed Vegas event didn’t dampen the birthday mood as Kim and the girls rerouted to Los Angeles and partied in a limousine as they rode around LA while downing the jelly shots. The crew made the most of Kim’s special day by stopping by a local In-N-Out Burger joint for a quickly juicy meal.

After getting their orders, the gang headed back to the limo and continued their party all night long. Despite missing Usher’s show, the celebrant got a heartwarming shoutout from the legendary singer on his Instagram story.

In an Instagram post rounding up the big day, Kim, who donned a pink tank top, blew a kiss to her fans alongside a caption that read, "Thank you so much for the birthday wishes. This weekend I had an overwhelmingly beautiful amount of love from so many people reaching out, and it really made me smile so much. The flowers, the dinner, the almost Vegas trip all was so so special, and I will remember this birthday forever ?."
