Reese Witherspoon recently celebrated her son Deacon’s 19th birthday with a beautiful message she shared on Instagram alongside several pictures of him.
The proud mama sang of the exploits of her second-born child she shares with ex-husband Ryan Phillipe while also declaring her undying love for him.
Deacon, on the other hand, seems to be doing great for himself. The talented singer released his first single in August, “Long Run,” which has been receiving lots of attention and hitting numbers.

The “Legally Blonde” actress took to her Instagram account to give a shout-out in honor of her son, Deacon Reese Phillippe, as he marked a new age.
Witherspoon shared with her over 28 million followers on Instagram adorable pictures of Philippe, including a throwback picture of the young singer taken during his early years.
The first slide was a close-up photo of Deacon smiling while he posed for the camera. He donned a black t-shirt and had his blonde hair styled backward.
The second frame revealed a younger Deacon also smiling for the camera while he donned a blue pin-striped shirt and wore a grey hat that exposed part of his blonde hair.
The “Wild” actress sweetly wrote in the accompanying caption, “Big Birthday Love for @deaconphillippe today! 💫 The guy who possesses the most joyful energy, endless drive, ambition, and talent. And the biggest heart in the world.💓Could not be more PROUD of you.. I love you, D! 💫💙 🎶 ”
Her post garnered hundreds of thousands of likes and heartfelt comments from fans and other celebrities. The ecstatic mum also took the celebration to her Instagram story and shared the same picture of him donning a black t-shirt.

Witherspoon And Ryan Philippe Previously Celebrated Deacon’s 18th Birthday Together
Last year, the teenager received the same outpouring of love from his parents on his 18th birthday. Although the pair aren’t together anymore, they still maintain a cordial relationship and come together to observe special moments.
Per The Blast, Ryan got together with his family to celebrate Deacon’s birthday. He and the “Big Little Lies” star shared several pictures of Deacon on their separate Instagram account as they celebrated his birthday.
The “American Murderer” actor uploaded two family pictures alongside a moving message. He wrote, “Happy 18th birthday to our gorgeous, smart, talented, and caring son. You are a true light in this world and are so loved by all who know you. We are lucky to be your mom and dad.”
He further added a shoutout post to his ex-wife, writing, “Love you, pup…(I’d say we did pretty good @reesewitherspoon)”, to which the mum of three replied by saying, “So proud of our boy… I mean our ADULT Son! 😮❤️.”
Reacting to the post, the birthday boy Deacon wrote, “Thanks, dad!! I love you.” Impressed fans commended Ryan and Witherspoon for their co-parenting skills, with one writing, “What a testament to the love & support you’ve both provided. Beautiful family inside & out.”
The “Sing” actress also posted a series of throwback pictures of her son as she paid a sweet tribute to him. Although a singer at heart, Deacon also has a passion for acting and has been granted his first role on the series “Never Have I Ever” as a guest star.
Per Entertainment Weekly, the 19-year-old is set to appear in the third season of the widely watched Netflix rom-com. Speaking about his character, the co-creator Lang Fisher said, “We wanted Des’ character to go to a swanky private school, and we had written this character of Parker, and we just were like, ‘Deacon would be great at this.”
He commended the young star on his acting skills, saying, “This is his first acting gig, but he just was great. He showed up like a real pro. He was really, really professional on set. He was just a joy to work with.”
