Heather Rae Young Is Grateful Tarek El Moussa Didn't Give Up

Heather Rae Young is feeling extremely grateful for her husband.

Fans will recall that Tarek met Heather while celebrating the fourth of July with friends on separate yachts. Since then, they have enjoyed a whirlwind romance that ended in marriage and with the couple expecting their first child together. To celebrate their first anniversary, the real estate agent is telling fans she almost did not have her 'happily ever after' with Tarek. 

The former model took to Instagram to celebrate their wedding anniversary by sharing a short video clip from their wedding day. As "One Man Band" by Old Dominion played in the background, the video started by showing the beautiful intimate wedding venue.

It then cut to her beau with tears in his eyes as he watched her walk down the aisle with her father in her lovely white sparkly dress.  From sharing a swoon-worthy kiss after their vows, it showed the couple having a great time during their first dance and many more kisses surrounded by loved ones at the reception.

The caption shed some light on their thoughts as they marked their one-year anniversary as she wrote, "His: Good thing I honked my boat horn that day in Newport. Hers: Thank goodness he didn't give up after I canceled that first date. One incredible year."  

In her Instagram stories, Heather shared some details about what they were up to for the anniversary. One slide reposted from her husband's page saw the happy pair on a yacht going whale watching.

While we do not know if they eventually saw some whales, we can be sure they saw adorable dolphins as she shared another repost from his story, which showed the sea animals putting on a show for them as she squealed in excitement. 

The 35-year-old's followers must have noticed something else had changed apart from the lovely videos from their celebration. Apparently, the star has chosen to make a significant change in her name on Instagram from "Rae Young" to "Rae El Moussa."

As reported by The Blast, she made the decision just in time for their anniversary. In the picture, the "Playboy Playmate of the Month" leaned against her husband slightly with her engagement and wedding rings in full view as she held her left hand up. 

Heather began the caption by listing the many jobs and activities she was juggling, which included filming two shows and growing a human. She added that although it was a lot, she loved every minute of it as she gave a little update on her baby, saying, "the baby's been in a "position" not sure what he's doing in there, and it's been affecting my sciatic nerve."

The tv star also mentioned that she was hoping for some relief even though it had been ten days and disclosed that she did the same to her mother. The soon-to-be mom noted that the sciatic nerve issue might be a payback for stressing her mother the same way. She ended the caption by saying, "Also, peep the name change just in time for our one-year anniversary this week."

The Blast reported that the lovebirds always mark the popular holiday for more than reason others do. This was because it was the day they met for the very first time.  

Tarek led the way as he gushed about their love for each other on his page as they stood together on a yacht holding the American flag. In the caption, he noted that he now loved the holiday much more because of his wife. 

He called it "love at first sight," emphasizing that he knew she was the woman of his dreams, ending the caption with, "So happy first-day-I-met-you @heatherraeyoung and happy fourth of July to everyone else." 

Heather also followed up with a lengthy message and pictures featuring the pair over the years. The Anaheim native expressed her love for him and retold the story of how they met and confessed that she still got "chills" whenever she looked back to their first encounter.
