Mandy Moore And Taylor Goldsmith Welcome Their Second Child!

Mandy Moore and husband Taylor Goldsmith have just added more love to their family with a second son. Oscar Bennett made his arrival a little later than expected, and the new mom took to Instagram to announce their happy news.

Moore, 38, posted a carousel of black-and-white photos captioned, "Ozzie is here! Oscar Bennett Goldsmith arrived a little late but with much aplomb (and an easier/speedier delivery than his big brother, much to the delight of his parents). Every adage is true: our hearts have doubled in size and the immediacy of the love is astounding. He is beyond words and we are so grateful for our family of four! ????"

Friends and fans of the actress quickly jumped into the comment section to leave sentiments of love and excitement for the family of four. Chelsea Handler wrote, "Oh my goodness gracious! Congratulations from the #2 baby maker!!! ❤️" Amanda Kloots added, "Congratulations!!!! Beautiful photo!" Ashley Tisdale chimed in with, "Congrats you guys ❤️❤️"

Moore and Goldsmith, frontman for the band Dawes, got married in 2018, and welcomed their first child three years later, son August Harrison, now 20-months-old. The actress announced that they were expecting their second baby in early June following the season finale of her hit show, "This Is Us," with a photo of August wearing a shirt that reads, "big brother."

She captioned the photo, "One incredibly seminal chapter of my life just ended and the next one, as a mother of two, is about to start… and are we ever so deeply grateful and excited. Baby Boy Goldsmith #2 coming this fall! Tour is gonna be slightly different than I expected but I can’t wait and Gus is gonna be the BEST big brother!! Xo"

Moore released her new album, "In Real Life," in May and was scheduled to be on tour for the remainder of 2022 before announcing her second pregnancy. She ended up cancelling the rest of the tour citing health reasons as the cause of her decision.

In an interview published in July in Today Parents, Moore revealed that she isn't able to get an epidural during labor and delivery because of a rare autoimmune disorder called immune thrombocytopenic purpura, or ITP. She wasn't able to have an epidural during August's birth either.

"My platelets are too low for an epidural. It was awful. But I can do it one more time. I can climb that mountain again," she said. "I wish medication was an option - just the idea of it being on the table is so nice. But we'll just push forth like we did last time." When a woman's platelets are too low, an epidural can cause injury around the spinal cord. "I am fine. I just have to continue to get my blood checked - my platelet levels checked - throughout pregnancy," Moore said. "They're low, but they've always been low. But I'm all good. Everything's good."
