Courtney Clenney Fatally Stabbed Christian Obumseli
Clenney stabbed her boyfriend Obumseli in their Miami, Florida apartment in April. The fatal wound has turned the young woman’s life upside down. Now in the recently released 911 phone call, she can be heard bawling and apologizing to her now-deceased partner.
"Baby, I'm so sorry," Clenney, 26, said in a 911 phone call according to PEOPLE magazine. Clenney stands accused of using a kitchen knife to stand her estranged ex, Obumseli, allegedly in self-defense.
On April 3, allegedly, the estranged couple was arguing in their apartment, and the verbal argument turned physical which resulted in Clenney delivering the fatal wound.
Christian Obumseli Can Be Heard On The Phone Call
The OnlyFans model’s phone call to the authorities also features Obumseli in the background saying, "I can't feel my arm!" in what some describe as a solemn, lifeless way. Clenney is a mess on the phone call, begging authorities for help as fast as possible.
"My boyfriend is dying of a stab wound! Please God, please. Come save my boyfriend!" she pleads on the phone. Obumseli passed away shortly after and by August, the model was arrested and taken into custody.
Clenney is charged with second-degree murder and awaiting trial. She is now revealing that at the time of Obumseli’s murder, she and he were no longer in a relationship. In fact, she had broken up with him about a week prior.
Courtney Clenney Claims She Wasn’t Dating Christian Obumseli
Through her attorney, Clenney noted that she had a restraining order in the works for her estranged boyfriend. Police bodycam footage revealed that was the truth. Two days prior to the alleged murder, there was a domestic disturbance between the couple. She is seen telling the officer that she has been broken up with Obumseli for at least and week and he “won’t leave me alone.”
She confides in the officer, he’s "stalking me.” Then says, "I want a restraining order against Christian Obumseli." She goes on to say while shaking uncontrollably, "I'm scared of him at this point,"
Attorney Larry Handfield, who's representing Obumseli's family during this tragedy claims that Clenney is “saying she's sorry because she's realizing what she's done. She's not saying 'I was defending myself.'"
The family refuses to believe that there was domestic violence between the couple. "Toby was raised by a very strong family with strong morals, strong values, he does not come from that."
