Taylor Swift's Latest Studio Album Will Have Accompanying 'Music Movies'

Swift initially dropped the teaser trailer for the music videos she made for "Midnights" during "Thursday Night Football on Amazon Prime Video." During the segment, Swift revealed that the accompanying visual album is a "secret project" that she's been working on for a while. As reported by The Blast, Swift had been teasing the reveal of her "secret projects" ahead of Thursday's drops.

The singer described the "music movies" as the music videos she made "to explore visually the world of this record." Swift reunites with Rina Yang, the cinematographer for the "All Too Well" 10-minute short film, for the new "music movies" project. She also shared the teaser trailer for the "Anti-Hero" music video on her Twitter (see below):

The trailer featured appearances by Academy Award-winning actress Laura Dern, Laith Ashley, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, John Early, Mike Birbiglia, the Haim sisters, Jack Antonoff, Pat McGrath, and model Dita Von Teese.

In a post on her official Instagram account, Swift described "Midnights" as a "collage of intensity, highs and lows and ebbs and flows. Life can be dark, starry, cloudy, terrifying, electrifying, hot, cold, romantic or lonely. Just like Midnights."

Additionally, Swift credited longtime collaborator Antonoff as her "co-pilot" for the record, noting that "Midnights' is the first album together where it was only the two of them as the main collaborators. She also cited other artists she collaborated with on the 13-track pop album, including Lana Del Ray, ZoĆ« Kravitz, Keanu Beats, William Bowery,  Sounwave, Beth Garrabrant, Sam Dew, Jahaan Sweet, and William Bowery (aka Swift's boyfriend, Joe Alwyn).

Del Ray is featured on the album's fourth track, "Snow on the Beach." Meanwhile, Kravitz co-wrote the song "Lavender Haze."

Swift Planning Upcoming Tour

NME reports that Swift's UK website recently confirmed that a tour for "Midnights" is in the works, with fans who pre-order the album from the UK store through Friday, October 21 receiving a special presale code for the tour. Pre-sale details and dates on the tour will be revealed at a later date.

As reported earlier by The Blast, Swift was said to be planning a stadium tour for Summer 2023. Her previously scheduled tour for her seventh studio album, "Lover," was scrapped due to shutdowns related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The post on Swift's official UK website would appear to suggest the earlier rumors about her plans for a stadium tour are accurate, and the "Gorgeous" singer's long-awaited tour might soon be coming to fruition.

Swift's "Midnights" is out now.
