Shakira Gets The BEST Revenge On Her Cheating Ex, Gerard Piqué

Shakira won’t stoop to the level of “loose lips sink ships.”

She will however allow herself to sing the tea rather than spill it!

Shakira released her new single, “Montonía,” on October 19 and the lyrics are chock-full of golden nuggets.

The song basically tells the story of a couple who falls into a monotonous relationship which leads to their demise.

Some of the lyrics go, “Suddenly you were no longer the same. You left me because of your narcissism. You forgot what one day we were.”

This mirrors Shakira and her ex-partner, Gerard Piqué’s, recent breakup. She caught him cheating and he left her for a woman 12-years younger than himself.

Piqué is currently dating an employee from his Kosmos company. He was reportedly introduced to Clara Chia by his former teammate, Riqui Puig.

Shakira goes on to sing, “You distant with your attitude, and that filled me with restlessness. You didn’t give even half, but I do know that I gave more than you. I was running for someone who wasn’t even walking for me.”

These lyrics are obvious deep digs at Piqué’s attitude toward her during their relationship and subsequent fallout.

“It’s a necessary goodbye. What was once incredible became routine. Your lips don’t taste like anything to me. Now it’s the opposite,” her lyrics for “Montonía” continue. “It wasn’t your fault nor was it my fault, it was the monotony’s fault. I never said anything, but it hurt me. I knew this would happen.”

It just so happens that the same day her song dropped, a report began circulating that Shakira’s name and sponsor logo could potentially be put on the FC Barcelona home jersey for upcoming games.

Piqué is a defender for FC Barcelona.

The irony and timing of it all seemed too good to be true, and unfortunately it was.

Internet trolls mocked up a Barcelona fútbol jersey with Shakira’s name and sponsor logo on the front, and accompanied the picture with a fake report.

Rumors went viral that FC Barcelona’s home kit could feature the “Hips Don’t Lie” singer’s logo in an upcoming match for the 2022-2023 season.

During El Clásico, Barcelona’s jersey featured Drake’s owl logo on them. This is part of their creative deal with Spotify.

According to Moisés Llorens, the Barcelona ESPN correspondent, Barcelona may soon close a deal for Shakira's advertising to appear on the team's jersey, as it happened with singer Drake on the jersey for El Clásico against Real Madrid.

This was all just a bunch of hubbub to create more drama around Shakira and Piqué’s breakup and nasty fallout.

However, how ICONIC would it be if Shakira’s name and logo did actually get printed on the FC Barcelona jerseys and Piqué had to sport it during a match.

Now that’s what I call… KARMA!
