Taylor Swift Teases 'Secret Projects' During Thursday Night Football Game!

The Independent called Taylor Swift's upcoming tenth album "Midnights" her "darkest and most cryptic album yet."

This proclamation should come as no surprise to her devoted fanbase of 'Swifties' who know quite well Swift, whom many of them affectionately call 'blondie,' is incredibly fond of adding cryptic Easter eggs into her online activity, something she isn't planning to tone down, even on the eve of "Midnights'' release!

Swift has kept in regular contact with her fans during the album's promotional rollout on social media. The Blast has frequently covered her activity on TikTok, where she revealed song titles from "Midnights" over time in a series called "Midnights Mayhem With Me."

Earlier today, she posted a video to her social media accounts, essentially teasing an upcoming surprise about a surprise!

What fans DO know about said surprise is that it will be revealed tonight, Thursday, October 20th, during the NFL's Thursday Night Football broadcast.

The Blast shared this news shortly after Swift revealed it to the world via a social media post earlier this week of an animated short featuring a calendar depicting the "Midnights" related events that will be taking place the week after the album is released!

The post begins with tonight's Thursday Night Football game and concludes with Swift's upcoming appearance on "The Graham Norton Show" next Friday.

As many of us know, midnight has been a popular time for Swift to reveal big news related to her new record!

It seems like both yesterday and many, many nights ago when "Midnights" first landed on our radar. Swift announced her upcoming record during the MTV Video Music Awards in August; she made her way to the stage three times to collect 'moon men.' Swift had been nominated for five awards that night.

The "folklore" songstress beckoned her curious fanbase to meet her at midnight after the ceremony, where she would later share more information about "Midnights" on social media.

Swift also posted each of her TikToks in her aforementioned series at midnight, an action many of her fans have joked about on Twitter!

It will be a long time before any Swifties have a restful night of sleep, and tonight definitely will not be a good time for Swifties to start counting sheep before the clock strikes midnight!

'Blondie' revealed all of the details pertaining to tonight's game in a video message that she posted earlier today on her social media accounts.

In the video, she dishes about her "secret projects" she has been working on "for a very long time" while in preparation for "Midnights" to drop! She also reveals the game's broadcast will be available via Amazon Prime.

Of course, Swifties weren't going to let the concept of their girl working on "secret projects" to fall by the wayside!

Swifties flocked to Twitter to ponder exactly what they could be. It looks as if figuring out what the big surprise might require a double dose of concentration, because, as Twitter user @sippingaugust points out, "Taylor said 'secret projects' PLURAL" in the video!

@sippingaugust added a second tweet to their thread, writing, "so a teaser of the multiple music videos is the most likely one. but is there more?" they asked.

The mystery will be revealed soon enough, and there's a good chance Swifties could be laughing off all of their theories while brand-new Taylor Swift songs repeatedly fill their ears!

"Midnights" will be available tomorrow, October 21st!
