After a tough decision, Joseph Baena, son of Arnold Schwarzenegger, and his dance partner, Daniella Karagach, were eliminated from "Dancing With the Stars" earlier this week.
During Prom Night, at the end of the episode, the couples competed on the dance floor as part of the dance marathon. Only one couple could be crowned Prom King and Queen, which would earn them extra points.
Country music singer Jessie James Decker and her dance partner Alan Bersten were the last couple standing, earning those extra points and making them safe from elimination. Joseph Baena and his pro dancer Daniella Karagach and reality television star Heidi D’Amelio and her partner Artem Chigvintsev both ended up in the bottom two.
25-year-old Baena was the one to get the boot, and now his partner, Daniella Karagach, is taking to social media to say goodbye.
Daniella Karagach Says Goodbye To Joseph Baena
Karagach got emotional in her Instagram post, saying goodbye to her partner and reminiscing about their journey together.
"It has been my absolute pleasure to turn this kind hearted, talented and genuine man into a ballroom dancer. @joebaena as I’ve said from the start, you are one of the purest souls I’ve met in a long time. Our journey wasn’t always easy but we found our path and made it our own," she said of the 25-year-old son of Arnold Schwarzenegger.
The 29-year-old professional dancer went on to express how proud of Baena she is. "Im extremely proud of you and the dancer you’ve transformed into. Im so excited for your new ventures and I can’t wait for more people to see what you’re capable of. You’ve got a friend in me for life. Keep shining dude, the future is yours. I love you."
The "Dancing With the Stars" pro continued to thank the entire team for this season, writing, "Thank you to the whole @dancingwiththestars team and making this season so special. I’m blessed to be a part of this fam💜."
“Dancing With the Stars” pro Daniella Karagach Test Positive For COVID-19
One of the biggest hurdles the couple had to overcome was when Daniella Karagach missed two weeks of "Dancing With the Stars" after testing positive for COVID-19 early in the season.
The “Dancing With the Stars” pro had to quarantine despite her being completely asymptomatic. “It was the absolute worst, so I am so excited to finally be back next week. There is no way I’m missing Disney night,” she said in an Instagram Story a few weeks ago.
Alexis Warr filled in for Karagach so that Baena could continue competing on "Dancing With the Stars."
“Dancing With the Stars” currently streams on Disney+ Mondays at 8 p.m. ET after having moved from its previous home of ABC.
TikTok star Charli D’Amelio, “Let’s Make a Deal” host Wayne Brady, and “Bachelorette” Gabby Windey are the three to watch out for this season, having been at the top of the leaderboard since Week 1.
