The 50-year-old is best known for being a part of three other women married to Kody on the series "Sister Wives." She, however, decided to separate herself from that world by leaving her husband after twenty-five years of marriage.

Christine told ET's Deidre Behar that although she is not a sister-wife anymore, she would remain on the show. She noted that she had relocated to Utah with her 12-year-old daughter, who she shares with her ex-husband. She said:

"I made a promise to Kody and everybody else that I would stay in Sister Wives as long as we have the show just to be fair. It's what our family's been doing for so long. I feel like it would be disloyal if I decided to not be part of the show."

Christine was the polygamist's third wife, even though they were not married legally but spiritually. And after it ended, she described her life as more straightforward. Saying:

"I'm single now, right? So I kind of decide what I want to do and then do it. It's been just very, very simple."

Planning her day-to-day life was a lot easier, and she felt much more confident and lighter since leaving him. "I think if I had made the decision sooner, I might have left out of anger. If I'd decided not to come and stay in Vegas, I think it would have been out of anger, and that would have been a mistake," she said.

The split got the public wondering what caused the problem in the first place, and as reported by The Blast, she claimed that they had simply grown apart. She announced the news on Instagram, stating:

"After more than 25 years together, Kody and I have grown apart, and I have made the difficult decision to leave."

The "My Four Wives" star noted that they would continue to be in each other's lives as co-parents and asked for grace and kindness as they dealt with the event. In the caption, she wrote, "Thanks for your understanding and compassion!" with the hashtags "journey," "hope," "change," "changeisgood," and "changeisscary."

Her ex-husband also took to his Instagram to pen a seemingly disgruntled message. "Christine's decision to leave comes with a great deal of sadness," it began. Continuing, the estranged ex noted that they had spent many memorable years together as a couple and that he greatly admired her. Ending by emphasizing that they would continue to be committed parents regardless of their different paths.

Kody Brown Speaks Up After Split From Third Wife Christine Brown

The reality star, who is married to wives Meri, Janelle, and Robyn, doesn't seem too happy about his split from Christine, per a September report from The Blast. He opened up about how her decision to end their spiritual marriage affected him greatly. The 53-year-old said:

"This feels like a major injustice being done to me, and it galls me. I just can't let it go. I don't know why it's such a struggle. It's curling my toes. I need some grief counseling or something. I don't know what's going on here with my attachment. I can't let go."

During the conversation, he admitted that he did not handle the news well and wanted to apologize to Christine for being so angry. Adding that, he definitely needed to look inwards to reach a point he could genuinely say he was happy for her.
